I think there are some jealousy going around mylot.....

I am new could you tell me about the star ratings how and why do people get them? also we all have numbers after our username what are they for? thank you for your help I just found and signed up to my lot last week

I think some people just rate randomly. ._. I personally don't care about star ratings, just have fun posting and you'll be fine is what I believe ~ : D I don't think star ratings even matter all that much. If you do have a star rating, chances are that you post a lot, no matter what your level is, so that's good. : ) It's important to display a good face. : )

I think so. A Mylot friend ever told me that my star was dropped to 9 and it turned to be red. I was surprised to it as I have kept a blue star for a long time. But it's OK. I don't really pay attention to it. I will rate your post positive, as I always do for others:) I love China

I too have noticed that my star rating has dropped by 1, but i am sure why this has happened? I myself have never bothered with any of this ratings, i just get little time to be on mylot ..I am not even aware how we can do it? how do i rate other members? may be i should start a discussion and get the more senior members to share their views .

Don't worry Sirnose, i think that your earnings is more important to you than your star rating. I am just new here and i can see that there is a star beside the name, i do am active on posting my answers to questions MyLotters are posting here. And i don't mind the stars i get as long as i am getting the goal i have which is to earn more at least to what i am participating for. I am happy to hear that whatever others would have caused you to get lower star rate, at least you still have a smile and will not be affected by them. This is important to me also. I will never get a sad face even if they criticize me on what i responded to them.

Yes, I am not giving any attention to the star rating either. In fact, I don't know how the rating is done, and I don't know what it is worth in terms of earnings. I just keep on my work on myLot as much as time permits, and I very much value and enjoy exchanging ideas with all the myLotters. So, don't worry about it. Just keep on enjoying in the community.

hiii sirnose...Yeah the same thing happen to me..My star is doing too and fro motion between 80 to 85..Once it appear 85 then i feel happy that by the next day i will get the rating of 9..But a big disappointment by star will fallen to 82 or 83 by the next day and i had been watching my star at 8 for many dayd..I don't know that why mylotters are doing like that why they are jeaulosy..But i am not such a person i will rate all of them as positive...Hoping i will reach the star 9 soonly..happy mylotting...cheers...

I don't care about the rating I get. It doesn't matter as long as I make new friends. Its about making friends and earning money not about your rankings.But thats just my opinion.

I just wanted to say thank you for answering my question in your disscussion it was very helpful as I am trying to learn how to do things on hear may I ask one more question? On your disscussion I post the question about the stars and numbers you and another person commentted about it. If i was to post a comment in the same box where it says post comment would you both been able to see it or would the comment of just went to you I wanted to thank you and the other person that commented in my box of the disscussion you started. or did I have to thank each of you seperatly as I doing now was not sure which way is better or how to thank both of you at once.
