We have DSL for our Internet, and the browser we mostly use is Internet Explorer. Although, we do have FireFox on our desktop. It's not use that often because half the time I forget it's on there. It was just recently added to the computer. However, it does get used a times.

Hi, We have dsl internet at home and broadband internet in the office and I don't know the difference, they are from different networks. And I have 2 browsers in my laptop because sometimes the other one is slow and so I have an alternative. I find the Opera 9.6 browser to be fast and that's what I'm using right now.

I've never heard of the Opera kind of explorer. Is that a US kind, or an International?

Opera is a web browser. I've used it before but it lacks javascript support if a site uses it.

Then it was a good thing that you bought the modem. It sounds like you didn't have really good speeds before you did.

Well I have a cable connection, but am thinking of upgrading to a cable extreme plan.
My download speeds are incredible, but the company I'm with offer the most horrid upload speeds imaginable.
I'm a gamer and play on X-Box LIVE a lot and the upload speeds mean that I can never host games myself. It's a real disappointment.
For the PC I use Firefox. I can't stand IE anymore heh.

I would think that you would want really great speeds for things like that. I can imagine that the really slow speeds would not cut it.

Mine is DSL modem. I think there no link between the browser we are using and the internet connection we are having. But the DSL is slightly better than the cable and if are having the problem in the connectivity means that is due to our ISP side and not on the cable/DSL. Cable is capable of transmitting the data upto its capacity, and even then we are facing many problems while connecting to the net. Also DSL is having the same problem as that of cable. All are in the hands of our ISP.
