There is something about quail eggs that makes it tastier than the regular chicken eggs. Some how, it is more fragrant. More tasty in terms of flavor. And the small size just makes it... oh... so easy to pick up and chew! There is just something about quail eggs that is nicer than the regular chicken eggs. But I cannot put my finger on it. I love them little eggs. Especially hard boiled and then put into a stew. Do you love quail eggs? Do you know why it is so much tastier than regular chicken eggs?

I like all kinds of eggs except for duck eggs.. lol =D I prefer quail eggs as compared to chikcen eggs, because it's smaller.. Taste is definitely better too as it's really different.. Some things taste nicer when they are in smaller portion, and in this case here, quail eggs wins over chicken eggs.. lol =D Most of the time, quail eggs are usually hard boiled, is there any other way to cook those quail eggs too?? hehe ^_^

Yeah... break them and make omelette. Or sunny side up with lots of little yolks. Duck eggs here are usually salted. The fresh ones are also very good. And tasty too compared to chicken eggs.

Yes, most of the salted eggs you get in the market are duck eggs. Yes, they are the ones you eat with porridge. In Malaysia, you can find fresh duck eggs. And they are also very tasty. Some how, chicken eggs just cannot compare to them.

In fact it seems that quail eggs are healthier than chicken eggs. But we don't often eat it. As it's troublesome to eat it. You have to spend longer time to remove it shell but it's a small egg only:) I love China

yeah... they are darn nice to eat. But also darn troublesome to prepare. So much effort to remove the shell. Only to have it eaten up in less than a mouthful! But they are so good, you just gotta go through the motion of boiling, removing of shell and eating!

I believe quail eggs taste better maybe because it has a lesser content of cysteine, a protein with disulphide bonds. So I agree it's more palatable than chicken eggs. I usually have quail eggs cooked in a soup and eat it with tomato sauce.

Yes, the presence of sulphide explains the slight pungency of the york, especially you eat it hard boiled.

Oh... that is something new to me. So the lesser content of cysteine makes the quail eggs taste better? Interesting. I will see what I can find out about this. Thanks for the inform. Hmm... I love the quail eggs in soups as well. Eaten with tomato sauce is also a good choice! I do that some times! Very nice!

In preference to poultry, I would choose quail eggs because it has less fat content and super in taste and flavor.

I don't know about the fat content. All I know is that they are very tasty. Hmm... fat content of a quail egg is more than than of a regular chicken egg? I will search around to see if that is true. Thanks for highlighting that to me!

I think it is because they look so cute... i don't taste any difference between chicken eggs and quial eggs... but if given the choice... i would love to eat the latter... not only they are cute... but one can be eaten with just one swallow... but i really think the cuteness counts a lot...

I like to eat quail eggs but I don't know why my hubby don't like the taste or smell of it. He does not even like duck egg. I guess he is just not used of eating such since his parents did not even give them such eggs, so the only thing he got used only was chicken eggs. I do love quail eggs and duck eggs. When I was a small kid, my grand mother used to buy me these boiled eggs and I really like to eat it and dip it in salt. I also include quail egg in my famous Adobo recipe.

hmm... dip in salt, that is new for me. I usually dip in dark soy sauce. And if you get the good quality, thick dark soy sauce, it is, UMMMM~UMMMM~ delicious! Sometimes I use ketchup. But most of the time, it is dark soy sauce! I must give salt a try though. Thanks for sharing. What is Adobo?

Hello Ahgong, i like to cook my quail eggs with chicken adobo. It is very tasty and delicious. I am sure you will agree with me when you come to taste it. But really, chicken eggs and quail eggs have different tastes. And its quail egg that tastes better than chicken egg specially when it was hard boiled. But yesterday i really regret the day when we forgot to place the boiled quail eggs in the ref. Hubby and i were eating and we forgot to place the other quail eggs inside the ref. In the morning, it was really smelling bad, a very foul odor and more than the smell of rotten meat. It just got spoiled within how many hours we didn't place in the ref.

Yes, quail eggs are tasty. But it must be eaten fresh. Once you forget to eat them or store them properly, they stink to high hell! Chicken adobo? What dish is that? Can you elaborate more on this dish? Any pictures of the dish to share with me?

Yes~~ it goes well in both dishes. In steamboat, it is very popular. Everytime there is a steam boat being served, we need to prepare hundreds of these eggs. Cos the kids are lapping them up faster than we can peel them! The quail eggs are good for a lot of other dishes too!
