Which would you prefer: mineral or distilled water?

I have a lot of questions concerning mineral and distilled water. Which is better and healthier and which is not? How do you determine the one from the other? Which would you prefer between the two?
I have read about alkaline water and what it does to your body. Researchers say that this type of water is much better than any other water treatment processes since it contains natural minerals, and it's less acidic compared to your tap water.
What about you? What type of water are you drinking?

If you want purity in your water, go for distilled water, Its basically water which has gone through distillation, which is allowing water to evaporate then condense leaving all impurities but the water behind. Mineral water as the name suggests, is water with minerals. If I were to choose between the two, I'd go for mineral water since it tastes better because of the minerals. distilled water tends to taste bland since it's only water. But if you have allergies or some ailment which requires you to drink pure water, go for distilled water.
Have a good one.

I am not sure about mineral water But I do know that filtered water Is alot better for you then tap water or anything like that. And I believe that It tastes better to. Or you could just buy bottles of water to that would also work.

Yes I agree with you that it tastes a lot better than mineral water. Is boiling water safe to drink?

I agree with you.. I also think distilled water is much better than the other one. And I think it's also cheaper compared to any other water types. Thanks for sharing!

when i do fasting i drink distilled water because it is pure, fasting is more delicate than usual everyday drinking but when i break my fast and back to eveday normal eating i go mineral i think one is not healthier than the other, they are both healthy but distilled water is more expensive than mineral water but i would never drink "criminal water" that is what our tap water here it's dirty and its deadly...

Hi galileo, if I were given the chance to pick one, I would rather like to choose the mineral water. As far as I know, though the mineral is already filtered, the water still contains the minerals which are essential to our health. We have fit a water filter set connected to our water tap in our kitchen. It is quite convenient that I don’t have to boil the filtered water anymore and just to drink it straight away
Distilled water is a hundred percent purified water. This water is without any mineral in it, so it is not good in our health and could only serve the purpose of quenching the thirst.
Happy posting and have a great day.

I do not know much about mineral water, but distilled water has nothing in it, all the vitamins and minerals is taken out of it along with the bad stuff. I usually get spring water from a spring down the road. I also have a filter on my tap water, so at least some of the bad stuff is removed. i believe they say the best water to drink health wise is reverse osmosis water. I do not own the system for this yet, but in the future i plan on investing in one. I drink a lot of water each day and i prefer the taste of the spring water.

Mineral water is more good cos of minerals, distilled is a clean water. In some parts of India and Africa they need water, you know some of their clean waters are like white vinegar in color. Very sad for them. Philippines got good water but in future is gone, too cos of pollution and population. Water is life! Have a nice day.

Thanks for sharing, distilled water has no taste, i think none drink that, i prefer mineral water from natural springs, they have salts in them that makes the taste great and it is good for health too.
HAPPY VALENTINE DAY.

Distilled water is tasteless, i will vote for mineral water, it has its inherent taste and the minerals are good for health..
thanks for this nice discussion

I think distiller water is much cleaner than mineral water. Mineral water i believe is just filtered and didnt go through rigorous purification processes unlike distiller water.

I would prefer distilled water.Because there are no germs in that water. That water is made by boiling it into water vapour and then cooling it down.It is the purest form of water and it will not make me sick.Mineral water has all the minerals required for the body but we can't say if its germ free.

As long as I'm not sick (especially if it's relating to having excess minerals in my system) then I'd go for the mineral water because I think it's better treated to remove the harmful bacteria than distilled water. Although distilled water is also clean, I wouldn't mind having the minerals too :)
Thanks for the response on my discussion!
