One of the most interestng and most convenient thing that I have on the desktop of my computer is an icon that takes me directly to the BBC World Service. I spend so much time listening to the BBC on line, it's easier to bookmark the player, than it is to go to the site and look for it everytime. also, by going through the book mark, I have no technical difficulties.

I would be lost without my bookmarks. It's so easy to get directly connected to a particular site than to search for it again if I need it. I agree that there are no technical dficulties using them.

I would say the most interesting thing on my desktop besides the actual background of my wallpaper (its a picture I picniked of my brother and I), is the icon that takes me directly to the site for a radio station from Barbados that I listen to online on a daily basis. They always play really good music and makes me feel closer to my boyfriend, since he lvies in Barbados and I know he listens to that station during the day when he's working in his workshop, so it makes me feel like we're next to each other listening to the station together

Ha ha ha... that strikes me as funny my friend. Here am I, in England and I hardly ever listen to the BBC! I listen to my music on my windows player and a programme which my friend gave me the link for, which has spiritual speakers on it.
Brightest Blessings my friend and happy listening!

I really do not have anything very interesting on my desktop. I just have three icons. One is the recycle bin, one is for my survey site and one is for my spyware. I do like shortcuts but alot of things will not load unless I sign online.

I have to admit to a Twitter addiction, since I joined, it's like a guilty pleasure so I have a bookmark for it handy. It's a bit like daytime tv, you can't really bear to watch but you know you have to. Too much time on my hands? Maybe!
Since being made redundant at the end of October it's been my 'water cooler' and has helped me stay in touch, rather than isolating me, as some pundits claim.

I have a shortcut to The National Weather Service for our local forecast that is the most convenient for me. If I'm in a hurry and want to check the weather, this is the easiest way for me.
