i get a stuffy nose.when i'm in class,i can't breathe freely,so i can't concentrate on what the teachers say;when i'm lying in the bed ,trying to sleep in the night,i can't breathe with my nose, and this always makes feel anxious,so it often happens that i'm still awake after one hour or more.
i don't want to take pills, and that always doesn't work at all.do u have any effective way to help get rid of this annoying thing?

Hi,
I follow these 3 hometips, which give fast result:-
1)I spray warm water, through nostrils(2-3 times).
2)I hot compress around nose-throat-ear, 2-3 times/day.
3)I have tea+3-4 drops fresh lemon juice, 3 times/day(not before 2 hours to bed).

Hi, CrazyDustbin. It sounds like you need some Nasal Breathing Strips. And you also need to heat you up some warm water. And let the steam circulate around your nose. This may release some vapors to your nasal passages. I hope that this will help you too.

i have had a stuffy nose forever and have had operations on it but they still havent helped. i even have trouble tasting foods and smelling most things, so i guess i am the queen of the stuffy nose!
seriously, i use a nose spray (perscription) but there are also some really great saline nose sprays that you can buy over the counter and they really help.

Stuffy nose suggests to me that you might have some kind of allergy and your body is keeping these out of your system. I suggest that you investigate further. Cheers!!

Truth be told I intake a shot of Jack Daniels Whiskey before bed, and it usually helps. However, it only aids when its a mild stuffy nose, not a prevalent one.

Slice an onion and inhale. The odor given off by onions is a powerful decongestant, and can clear your stuffiness by causing your nose to run.
Eat a red-hot chili pepper. Hot and spicy foods like chili peppers cause your nose to start running almost instantaneously, clearing your stuffy nose.
Have a cup of piping hot tea--or any other hot beverage. The steam given off by your drink will help clear your nose. Furthermore, the liquid itself can help dilute mucus in the nasal passage and ease breathing.
Take a hot shower. The steam from the hot water does an outstanding job of clearing mucus in clogged nasal passages.
