I am grammatically conscious to myself only. Are you? I am conscious because some are too perfectionist. According to someone I met, even the Americans are not always grammatically correct (Is it?). And that nobody has a right to correct your English unless they are Englishmen with a doctorate degree in English.(Do you agree?). Not all people are always right, they can't sometimes spell the words right. I don't really care if a person can't speak or write English properly what matters most to me is she can able to express what she wants to say. I admit 5 years ago, I can't really communicate verbally in English due to lack of confidence. Lately, I was able to expose myself to English speaking persons and I can confidently say that I am good in English now, they do also comment in my English, someone said that my English accent is across the world. I would like to ask you to elaborate this kind of description if you can. :) Happy my lotting!

yes, i am not perfect in my grammars and i also commit mistakes too. that is why i like mylot so i can harness my English grammar and be able to express myself better in English. it is my belief that if i keep on posting and sharing my thoughts and expressing myself in English, there will come a time I will not have a hard time thinking of the English term of the word I want to say. I just hope some people will stop insulting people who have poor grammar.

I am not that good in grammar and my pronunciation is neither (I'm good in spelling though). And since I know that I am just average on those things, I am very happy if someone corrects me. You are right, talking with English-speaking people helps a lot in developing our knowledge of the language.
As for your saying that "...nobody has a right to correct your English unless they are Englishmen with a doctorate degree in English." Wow! That's a big NO! I know some Filipinos who are excellent in using the English language. I have a Filipina workmate who used to be the editor of our British supervisor's writings. I'm sure that anyone, whether native English speakers or not, who took time to study the language can be very effective English editor or teacher.
