It seems that Kido.j is one of the aliases of the Conficker worm (which is a spyware), although only the heading to this article actually mentions Kido. The article describes the details of Conficker and how to remove it. I hope it may help:

When cleaning machines on a network, it is essential to disconnect each one from the network and to boot them as standalone machines. In order to remove the virus, it is usually best to run the AV scan in Safe mode, if you can.

The actual removal instructions are here: http://www.spywareremove.com/removeWin32ConfickerAA.html
Note: The article gives Kido.bg as one of the aliases. Kido.j may be another name or it may be a different variant. I believe that the .j would stand for Java Script but I am not certain.

Have you updated the antivirus with the internet connection. Then there should be no problem in removing the virus.Previously i too used norton. It detected hundred viruses but could not remove it.I installed the free version of avira antivir virus and updated it and it removed all the viruses for me.

Kido (and the aliases Conficker and Downadup) is a particularly nasty virus that may disable anti-virus software in some cases. It is removable, if you are unfortunate to have it, by following the instructions in the link I gave above.

Trend Micro's FREE online virus scanner.... if you can't get virus scanner to install, use free online scanner...
Once your clean, install a good virus/spyware scanner, that will work on a network.

I am not familiar with this virus. I only have AVG to protect my computer. You could do a search on this virus. Maybe someone has better knowledge. Cheers!!

Do you use AVG free version or licensed version ? if you used AVG free version then you need take care if there is spyware or network type virus infected, because I have experience with AVG free version and now I still try to clean that virus.
