Ever have an uninvited guest hop in the shower with you?

I have. While I was taking a shower yesterday I felt something kind of squishy under my foot. I didn't know what it was and without giving it much thought I automatically kicked it aside. What made me look down was when it hopped. I couldn't believe my eyes, there was a frog in the shower with me! I scooped up the little guy and called out for my husband to come get him so he could set him free outside.
This poor frog had to endure the hot water and then he almost got stepped on. But at least he is outside now, safe and sound, where he is supposed to be. Whew!
So, have you ever had an unexpected guest in the shower with you? Who (or should I say what) was it? What became of them?

I must say, I would probably flip out if there was a frog in my shower. Ha ha. I don't hate frogs and I'm not scared of them...it would just gross me out stepping on one I think!
I've seen some earwigs (ICK!!) in my shower and a giant spider once that almost gave me a heart attack but never anything larger than a big bug. Let me put it this way...I don't envy you!

Yeah, I would have been pretty grossed out too had I actually stepped on the little fellow. I sure am glad I didn't!

A centipede? If I found a centipede in the shower with me I'd probably do the same thing! Eek!

That's so cute!! I love frogs although I won't handle them because they'll pee on us. lol YUCK!! lol Did you know that frogs can't breathe unless they're wet? That's why we see them on the roads on a rainy day. I read about that in a childrens book and found it to be fasinating!
To answer your question, yes I've had a guest get into the shower with me but you'll never guess who or what! My cat, the stray that I had taken in two years ago! He just pushed the curtain out of his way and just hops right on in! He'll go inbetween the curtain and liner and walk around and he comes in when he wants to and leaves when he wants. He's the only one out of all 10 cats that we have that does that. lol

I commend you for being able to take them in.
I was like that when I was younger. I wanted to save them all. But I know that I can't. I sure wouldn't want to end up with 100 cats/dogs or more! With the dogs I have now they wouldn't go for it anyway.
One thing I do though is spay and neuter the pets that I have. That way they can't add to the pet population.
PS I love the picture of your 2 Siamese together! How sweet! I love this breed!

Well then it's a good thing I was already in the shower!
No, I don't think I knew that, but it makes sense as I know they dry up without water. Yuck!
You mean to say you have 10 cats? At once? The most I ever had was 4 and that was too many for me! It's cute that your one cat does that though. He sounds like he is something special.

Yup I sure do have 10 cats! lol Not by choice though but since they're here, they're mine! lol 3 came here as strays and I took them in. I can not let something go hungry so I feed what ever comes my way. I feel this way, what if it were me out there hungry and I got shooed away. It wouldn't make me feel good at all but much worse and not trust easily. Look at my profile and you'll see all my furry friends! lol I have 3 dogs too.... it's a minature farm here! lol

I've done that with a spider or 2 before. But a frog? I just couldn't bring myself to do that. Plus I don't think he'd of fit anyway. LOL

I used to have a cat who loved to hop in the bath with me. Most cats hate water but this one loved to swim. We got in trouble once at an apartment i used to live at when she decided to join us in the pool i guess animals arent allowed in the pool lol.

How funny! LOL I've heard that cats can get used to liking baths if trained when they are kittens, but I'm not sure about adult cats that never touched water, besides lapping it up with their tongue, of course.
I also had a cat when I was younger that wasn't afraid of water. The patio (which was sunken in) had been flooded by the rains that we had been having. As he had been on the other side of the patio he didn't know how to get the house, so he jumped right in! He swam right up the other side where the house was. And here he never dealt with water like that before. Then again he was such a silly cat he used to follow me around like a dog. LOL

Oh that's funny! Our cat used to go swimming all the time in our creek. She'd try to catch minnows.

Awww. Poor lil' frog!
I've never had any guests like that... I get the occasional spider that needs removing but thats about it!
I wouldn't mind an uninvited guest of the male form... good looking... nice fit body... strong arms.... LOL! I'll just carry on deaming!

Oh how funny..
No the only thing that ever jumped into the shower without an invite would have been when my kids were little, like about one year old and they loved playing in water..

Ah, sweet! And poor frog!! It would've startled me a bit too, but I do really like frogs. We sometimes get them in our garden, but never has one ventured in the shower with me, lol! We did once find a leech in the bath though. We didn't even know that leeches were around these parts. Luckily there was no-one in the bath at the time, or else they might have lost some blood!

To be honest, we had no idea that you could get leeches in London, but apparently you can!!

hahaha!!! I never had experienced having frog in the shower enjoying the hot water? I mean, what in the world that frog doing there inside? how did it get there? If your bathroom is in the basement, I think that poor thing can just hop and hop going there.. but if it is upstairs? I wondered how it get there. I would be scared maybe If I've seen one in our bathroom.

I don't know how he got in there, but my husband is guessing the frog came up through the drain.
I don't have a basement. I live in a single story home.
There's no reason to be scared. These little guys are harmless!

The worst that has happened to me was when I went to turn on the shower and was greated by a camel-back cricket. For those of you who have never seen one, they are extrememly ugly jumping spider-looking things. I screamed and my oldest son ran into the bathroom (luckily I was still dressed) and killed it for me!

Camel-back? Maybe he wanted his back scrubbed, I mean we have problems ourselves trying to wash our backs don't we, imagine how beasties manage trying to keep their backs nice and clean, there wasn't a happy ever after story for your critter, like the frog, mind you I think I'd stick with the frogs and spiders, your beastie sounds horrid LOL! Thanks for sharing made me smile

That is quite a tale (oops! frogs don't have tails). I haven't had any guests in my shower but I have had several in my closet. We used to have a cat who loved to bring his live treasures in. He put them in my closet to play with them. (Easier to keep them confined). He brought in a few snakes, a bat, several mice , and a rat. The rat was the last straw. I shut the bedroom door and slept upstairs, telling him he had to deal with the rat!

Maybe they don't, but polliwogs/tadpoles do!
Yuck! None of the cats I've had ever did that, thank goodness!

That was quite some kind gesture to the creature-frogs like cold, moist or wettish places-you found it or shall I say, it found you in a favourable place, a shower-I met one last month and it was very fat frog-I simply led it out of my shower gently-no cruelty to them at all, this world was made so that we celebrate diversity, especially bio-diversity!

I'm glad you think so academic. Lucky for this little guy I like frogs (at least little tree frogs). Now toads on the other hand freak me out. I'm just glad I've never encountered one!

Hi, sacmom! I don't really think that I had anything in the shower with me that hopped. But, I did have a brown spider that was hanging around the shower stall. I have had this a few times. There are old cob webs up in the ceiling. So, I guess that is why the spider is so attracted in being there. Also, you are weigh better than me, because I would have jumped out of the shower butt bone naked and ran yelling! I would be very scared to see something like that inside of the shower with me! It was nice of you to make sure that the frog had somewhere else it could sit to...

After I had screamed, I would have been shocked to find one in my shower because we do not live near frogs. Toads, yes, but I could not figure how they would get inside my tub. I am not afraid of them, just the shock of it would have made me scream.
I have had a spider fall in my mouth once and a moth fly into my mouth, that was it.

I was shocked, but only for a moment. Once I realized what it was I laughed at myself for getting shocked in the first place!
I had a tiny moth fly right into my eye once. Who knew those little things could cause so much pain?
