finally have a job

I have my high school diploma and several certificates from different trade schools. But let's face it, academics have never been my strong point. I recently moved 400 miles away from the only place I have ever known (and my minimum wage job) only to find that jobs, even the kind that pay under 10.00 dollars an hour are darn near impossible to find. I've spent the last 5 months applying for hundreds of positions, with only two interviews, and finally I start a job tomorrow. Upon talking to my brother he has had the same problem, and he is a college graduate (deans list). Is this job market horrible or what? What's the longest you have searched for a job?

it is pretty hard to find a job.
But then, if you lower your stakes, you can find something that you will not enjoy. So, what's the point in waking up in the morning and going to a job that just brings you money? Depends on you social situation. If you're by your own, you can afford looking some more. Maybe, you will find what you're looking for in the end.
Whwn you have a family to support, first job offer, you take. And maybe another part time, just to make ends meet.
And then, you try to find small pleasures, small things that bring you joy in this grey life.
It's not very easy to wake up and to the same thing every day, specially when you don't like it.
I'm not an inventive person - but if you are, try to come with an idea that no one else had. Open your own business, make it bloom.

Yep I blame it on the economy. Times are tough so there is more competition even people taking jobs that are below their skill level. Congrats on your new job!
