Which is the best for kid Pen or Pencil? what you prefer for your kid. How many pens or pencil he/she ask in a week??? ...I think it is best things to provide them enough varieties of pen and pencil what ever they wants....Doing this they like and love to write and study with passion.

i have a toddler son :) he loves to write and i always give him a pencil to write on but if he sees me holding a pen he used to exchange it with his pencil... kids will be kids :D but for that age same w/ my child pencil will be a good start ;)
i bought him also coloring pens/crayons set as you've said to have a variety and not be bored in one single pencil :D
thanks for posting this one!;)

Hi sadiq, when my kid was still in his earlier elementary days they are allowed to use pencils for writing their school exercises only. Most of the kids are not good in spelling, mathematic, sketching and etc so they would always make mistake and have to rub away the written works and to redo again many times. So it’s nice for kids bellow ten years of age to use pencils. Anyway pen is totally not suitable for them.
I let him to have 5 or so kept in his pencil case, so that he wouldn’t feel handicapped in case some of them couldn’t function well. So he always got all his pencils well sharpened before going to bed. He loved the 2B type pencil the most and saying that he could write it easily and could erase the incorrect words conveniently.
Happy posting and have a nice day.

My kids love using pencils. I dont give them pens because they are to young but will give them regular pencils or colored pencils instead. My 3 year old daughter went shopping with me and her daddy yesterday and she got a case of colored pencils that are scented. She was so happy and carried those pencils around all day. My five year old son is in kindergarton and when he gets something out of the treasure box he always gets a pencil. He has quite a collection now.

I think they both are good for kids. I agree that parents should listen in kids needs and provide them with things they ask, specially when they things which help them to develop their skills, in this case - drawing and writing.
With denying kids wishes we stop them from developing. Sometimes we should think twice when saying the big NO word.

Hi,
My vote is towards a Pencil(of course, with eraser) for a kid.
as a kid, they will fauter, erase,do it gain...that's expected.
I will give them variety, but not plenty...otherwise they will not Value those.Showing plenty often turn a kid,non-passionate.

I think most of the kids like pencils because that what the teachers requires at school for grade one to two, then they started using pen from grade three onwards. I like my kids having pencils with different color and style. I can still remember that i have a jumbo pencil when i was in elementary.
Happy posting.

well,
if you really want to know what is the best for kids-pen or pencil,
then I would suggest that in their daily life make them use both pen as well as pencil because in future they don't experience difficulty .
thank you for your discussion.

i prefer giving them pencil. this is because they can erase the mistakes they have made and also we can erase any scriblings they have made. i think kids should start using pen after they are 9 years old or so.
we should provide tem with the variety they like if there are chances of increasing the passion for studies .
