How many of you allow your dog or dogs to sleep with you? My dog Bocephus is a cuddle bug, he loves o sleep with me an dmy man and if not with us then with my son. Bo has to always be touching you, he will have his head in your lap, his paw on your leg or his tailhitting your back it does not matter as long as he is touching us. He gets under the blankets and even uses a pillow, he is so adorable. Does anyone else experience this?

Just as long as your dog doesn't push between you and your fiance, my dog does that he will put his back up against my man and his feet agains me and push me right out of the way, it is very comical.

Aww that is too cute I have a husky and he loves to lay on the bed beside me but he doesn't like when my other half gets in.. LOL!! He feels it's his bed.. so he'll get inbetween me and my other half and push my other half off. LOL!Then he runs and barks.. Like he's playing and my other half just gets right into bed. At first he would bark at him from his position on the bed but now he tries to get my other half to chase him and he doesn't really like the covers over him though he prefer a pillow of sorts.

Very true, it would be hard living with three dogs that all hated one another.

That is to bad they fight, it is always hard having an odd number of dogs when they dont all get along, one dog is always feeling left out and has to be alone that is sad, but i do understand.

We let our dog get into bed with us. He will circle until he finds a comfortable spot. Most times he will sleep at our feet.

Thats exactly what my dog does. He circles the bed for a bit then lies in between my boyfriend and I for a bit. Then he goes down to our feet and starts digging around for a bit until he finds a comfy spot. He eventually lies down and provides us with a hot water bottle for the night.
The only problem that I have ever found with it was when he went through a phase of waking up in the middle of the night wanting a walk. Thankfully he has stopped that now!

Yes, I will ALWAYS make room for my dogs. There are some nights when I would rather have the dogs in bed instead of my husband! On another note, my Dad had a dog named Bocephus. Sometimes I think he loved that dog more than he loved us (just kidding - I think)! It can be weird how attached we become to our dogs but I think it is because they love us unconditionally and don't get up in the mornings looking for ways to be irritating. They are always looking to cuddle and play.

Unconditional love, that is so true. Wow, your dad had a dog named Bocephus, that is crazy to me. Tell me did he name him that after Hank William Jr? That is were my bocephus got his name.

I am glad to know you as well, as for mentioning your dads dog in his obit, i think that was great, dogs are a big part of our lives, we love them and they love us, when your father passed, you mother was not the only loved one that missed him, his dog does also his dog loved him just as well. I wish people would be more like you and consider the connection that people have with their dogs and mention them in speeches, obits, family books and all that good stuff. I bet you dad smiled when he heard what you wrote, if it were me i know i would have.

i do let my dogs sleep with me. i have two siberian huskies and i let them sleep with me. i love my dogs very much. i treat them just like they are one of my kids. they are my babies. they sit on the couch with me and they lay in the bed with me. it doesn't bother me at all. they just lay there and go to sleep. they don't bother me at all.

Well, I have never had the chance or pleasure yet to own a Dog indoors, but back when we had Cats, they used to sleep at the top of my head or love to crawl under the covers with me when it was cold. The one dog we did have when I was a teenager I am sure would have done this if he would have been allowed, and I am sure that it is a Cute site for you for sure. You might need to take a picture and share it with us sometime.

My husband and I have a community bed. We have two dogs and three cats. It is not uncommon to have at least two pets in our bed. Our one dog, Cookie, a golden retriever mix used to sleep between us a puppy. She would get so wound up we had to put her between us to settle her sown at night. Now she doesn't get on our bed much as it is kinda high and she had arthrits but the other dog and cats all think our bed belongs to them.

it is funny how we are strict with kids, but allow our dogs to walk all over us and get away with anything, i mean they know better also but for some reason it is just cute when they do it.

I have two dogs here. Our German Shepard Mix sleeps with my mother and my border collie mix sleeps with me. Most dogs when you sleep with them are not that comfortable typically but Mindy (German Shepard Mix) she usually will sleep in the right spot where is really comfortable. Lucky always sleep at the foot of the bed. When I go to bed at first, he gets off but he comes back on once I settle in bed. He's funny that way.

If i could i would surely allow my dog to sleep with me.but the sadest point is my dog is reall big in size even more than me, where i guess he will need th whole of my bed to sleep and me need to sleep out of the house where he does then.I cant allow him to be with me just for this reason he is a big german sheperd with a larg height of atleast 3 to 4 feets i guess and length is really long he is wide healthy and hairy.the problem is he is also very ill mannered in sleeping basics he sleeps anyhow and might hurt anyone of us me or my sister as we both got a common bed but a size of 4 people can easily sleep.but then too my dog is not allowed to sleep inside the house. I am going to get a bernard small one may be he will be with me, because i just love st bernard dogs

German Sheperds are big dogs that is for sure, so i can undertand why he does not sleep with you. St Bernards also turn out to be big dogs, big and lovey.

I always like dogs so much. When I was a young boy, my dog usually sleeps besides me, not on the same bed with me, of course. Although I want to allow my dog to sleep with me in the same bed, my wife and my son do not like this idea. So I do not allow it to sleep with us. The dog is really a good friend of the human being. With its' accompanyment, our life becomes more interesting. Best wishes to all dog lovers.

Well if you ever get the chance you should get one and let him or her up on the bed and you will see why so many of us allow it. :)

Not a dog but we have lots of cats with us and sometimes one or two of them sleep with me. I feel good cause they are warm and is good to feel that warm little thing close to me. Mostly when they are sick I get them to be with me and feel protected.

our animals are always comforting when we are sick. I too have a cat and along with my dog, my cat sleeps with us as well, his cat bed is at the foot of my bed in the corner and he loves it there.

We don't have a dog but I just had to contribute to the discussion anyway. Your dog is just so cute! I love it that he sleeps with you - it shows a real bond and I think that's important for a family. He'll protect you even more!
We have a cat and the cat was mine before I married and had a son. So the cat is stuck to me. He will push past my husband to be next to me and sleeps at the end of the bed by my feet. He even nipped my husband once or twice when we were first married because my husband went to touch me. Animals are funny when they get attached...thankfully he has grown used to other people in the house and everything is much better now. Enjoy Bo!

When I had a dog I'd let her sleep with me all the time. She'd cuddle with me, steal my blankets, and steal my pillows. But I didn't care because she was so cuuuute.

we never seem to mind being uncomfortable when it comes to our dogs, they are so adorable and look at peace when they are under the blankets and comfy and we are shivering and have no pillow, but hey it is worth it.

Of course I let my dogs sleep with me! I would be lost without my dogs in bed with me at night. My husband is a paramedic and used to work nights, so I began to let my dogs in bed with me just for company. My dog Chrissy, is a lab, I have a terrier named Tex, and a chow named Sheeba. Two of these dogs are rather large but I always find a way to make room. Tex does sleep under the covers, but the other two would rather be on top of the blankets making certain I can't move! This makes it difficult on nights that my husband is home because the result is all five of us in bed together! My husband likes to joke about how he had four females in his bed the night before!

HA HA HA, that is rad. I love your dogs names. Isn't it amazing how we manage to make room and move things around for our dogs instead of saying ok husbands home your on the floor tonight.
