What do i need with my computer?

in todays world of computers everything is basically done by using windows vista, and with that there comes a lot of problems like needing certain requirments and things like that and i don't really know what i need, and i was just wondering if someone could help me, ive heard that you need a couple gb of memory or something like that to make it run at a steady pace, i have one now and its got only one gb of memory and it runs really slowly at times and you can't do anything much with it...so what are the requirments that i need to make it run smoothly? i would like to thank everyone for taking the time to come by and read my discussion and hopefully answer, i hope that you all have a great day and once again thanks for coming by!

try getting ccleaner - it will clean your pc
vista's recommended is 1 gb of ram but i do think less than 2 gb is not enough for vista
if possible upgrade to 2 gb or more if you're running vista, else go back to xp
download cpu-z, there, you can see how large your ram already is and what kind of ram you have to get

It is always better to have a computer with high configuration, adding more and more RAM makes the computer faster to load and run smooth.
