Violence

My mother was recently assaulted and her bag stolen. The "youth" who did it was 14 years old. He recieved a community service order for 10 hours. I think this is lenient especially when i found out that he had a string of prior offences. Do you think that this sentence was ridiculous!!!

Personally, I think that this sentence was fair. I feel that it's a fair and lenient sentence. Considering the circumstances and his age, I feel that it's a better idea to give him community service than to put him in prison or something.

Obviously this is why he had a string of prior offenses...because he had committed crimes before and gotten off with a slap on the wrist. Why bother to do the right thing if there's no incentive. This "youth" needs to be punished before the string of offenses becomes a list of felonies.
