If you stare too long & work long hours before it is no good. Sometimes it's the radiation from the monitor, especially the old bulky CRT monitors. LCDs have less radiation compared to that. But it really does tire your eyes if we use it for too long. Maybe your tolerance level is less compared to others? I spend like almost 8 - 10 hours a day I think although now I've cut down a lot. Like the above response, it could be an eye problema s well? Maybe you could check with the optometrist?

Yes I have it, I'm long sighted which means that if I spend too much time looking at the PC or reading, the words tend to move across the page or blur!
Get an eye test, the glasses you'll use won't be strong and you may get them on prescription for free if you're in receipt of any benefits.

It would be good to get up and do something else about every 30 minutes or so. Not only will this help your eyes, it will help with your circulation. Sitting for prolonged periods of time can cause blod clots to form and also for blood to pool in lower extremities. So it is good to walk around and do something more active about every 30 minutes to hour. Also, as mentioned, it could be your eyes. For me I put on overhead light and use a desk lamp and find that it helps. When just using the light coming from monitor, your eyes pick up the little flashes that your brain does not even see. So you might want to try adding more light around your computer area and see if that helps.

Are you using a LCD screen or CRT monitor?
-If you are using Crt Screen.Solution get a computer Screen filter.
that should do the job of blocking UV ray
-LCD screen does not have such and effect.\
I use to have such and issue but not anymore after I got my screen protector.
Hopes it Works for you :)
