Last night my dog once again woke me up at 2am but this time I know why it happened. Last night I was so tired as well as everyone else in the house and we all went to sleep at 7pm very early for us. So my dog didn't get to go out late like usual. So he came into the room at 2am and started yelling at me. So I got up and took him out so he could take care of business. The bad thing is I couldn't go to sleep until 4am Yuk.. I guess I better not go to bed early again messes everything up.

LOL! your dog loves you so much, actually. Your dog knew that you're very generous and high tolerance person. Begged you for a walk to enjoy the acquaintance deep feeling, while to attest to the reliability and patience of a master. So, you can't go to bed early next time because your dog needs your routine "duty" ~ a walk. I'm very fortunate, because my parrot doesn't needs a walk...LOL!

I hate when the dog wakes me up. He starated barking around 4 in the morning, i have no idea why and i didnt want to get up and look so i just stayed in bed. Then i went back to sleep i guess i dont remember waking up untill 6 45 and because the dog was barking again. I woke up the morning and still dont know why he was barking, but oh well. I went off and worked at my part time job and came back home and relized he had never seen the big water jugs before and i think that is why he was barking, my dad must have put them by the front door before he left to go to work so someone would relize that they need to be done. I came back from work and he was barking at them so i knew it had to be them i just picked them up and put them on the bench that is by the front door. The little things that drive us nuts.

Pets seem to have unforgiving time plans, but just be glad he came and asked and that you heard him, some times my lady dog sleeps to hard and lets that urge get to the last minute It's hard for me to get up with shoes on and get her out.

hello moneymommy
i guess that i am going to have to come over to your house and get that little dog of yours and bring him to my house for awhile and let you get some sleep. lol and i know what you mean about four o'clock in the morning like that, this morning i got woke up by a thunderstorm, man was it ever pouring down rain, it was lightning and thundering something awful. so on and off of being awake this morning that early, i finally said F*** i will go ahead and get up out of the bed. i got up out of the bed at ten till six and headed to make the coffee for the morning, and then i was going to check my e-mails and guess what? NOT having a good morning at all, the thunderstorm knocked out my dsl signal. so i went on about my morning business, and now i am back at home and my dsl signal is back up for the time being.
take care and have a beautiful day today!

aww poor you and poor doggy lol. I presume that this is not the first time that it has woken you up. I know it sucks when you wake up and can't go back to sleep again. I remember when my dog was brought into the house the first time, it was a few months old and we put him in the bathroom and it din't let us sleep all night and we had to play with it almost all night. Have a nice day!

It always amazes me how animals seem to have their own built in clock! I know if I am even 5 minutes late at feeding time the dog and cat let me know right away and they also know what time it is when they normally get treats, breakfast, when it's time to go out and go to bed! ;)

i can understand perfectly how you feel... i also hate it when my sleep is disturbed and i can't get back to sleep again... it is so annoying... anyway, that's why i don't like to go to sleep early because i don't want to be waken up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep again... that will be the most annoying thing that can happen to me... take care and have a nice day...

yes sounds like you went to bed at least too early, the dog should go out at least by 11 o'clock for the night.

Good day... It really sucked and all waking in the wee hours of the morning and can't get back into sleeping again but that's just how things are with pets. Like people they need some attention but hey the rewards are worth it.
I think maybe you can train it and schedule it's needs. I bet things would be much better from then on.

Sometimes when I hear my pupyy yawn in the middle of the night, then I will be like "Oh no, please go lie down, go back to sleep..." because I don't want to get up and put him outside too do business :-p He wakes up in the early morning though like 6-7 o'clock usually. I usually wake up early so that doens't bother me.

HI moneymommy...I was just wondering..should we make your mylot cheque payable to you or the dog......He is a great conversation starter..Can I borrow him?..
I dont have a dog to wake me up..I dont need one either with the rifle range right across the street. The other night, I was up late and thought I would sleep in..Ya right!!...I went to bed around 4am (thats what mylot does to ya!)...and was abruptly awaken before 7am...to bang, bang , bang!!!
Well, I crawled out of bed and stumbled about getting dressed. Thought I may as well get up as I wasnt going to get any sleep!..
To all those people at the rifle range that morning...I have a message...May your dogs bark all night and sleep all day!!
The same does not apply to you moneymommy, I hope you get a good nights sleep!

I don't know anyone with a dog that has ever gotten a good night sleep since the dog moved in, lol. You just cannot sleep through the entire night. They are always barking at something outside they think is in the yard and you never know if it is a real threat or just a cat. I don't have any pets right now and whenever I house sit for someone with a dog the animal is always trying to get over on me like begging to go out after midnight or for treats or standing by their bowl wanting more food. You're sound asleep and suddenly you hear this whining noise and commanding "Go lie down" doesn't seem to work. At least it doesn't until the second day when they realize you're serious and you really meant it and no you don't want to play with the toy.

Well, honey , you are not alone. I have a 185 lb Great Dane who wakes me up at 4am everyday! Even though I don't usually get to sleep around 11:00 or midnight,(being an insomniac and all) he doesn't speak, but makes it very very obvious that he wants to go potty. My suggestion to you is, if you don't do it already, take away his food and water earlier in the day, just like when u potty train a child. That way the urge to go potty won't be as earty as 2 am. I hope this info will be of some help! M.G.
