hello moneymommy
the last thing that my hubby and myself put on e-bays website was some albums that my hubby got at an auction somewhere here in town. and we had several of them listed on e-bay at one time and we sold a few of them. good luck to you on selling your collectables on e-bays website. we have sold all kinds of different items on ebay, yard sale items, books, albums, cookbooks, fax machine paper, stationary, and inner tubes. lol look around on e-bays website and see what the items on their website has bids on and go from there. sometimes when that you have an item for sell on e-bays website, you will not get any bids until up to the very last minute of the auction end time. let us all know around here at Mylot if the items that you decide to put on e-bays website sells or not.
take care and have a beautiful day today!

to be honest I used to buy and sell on ebay loads and was a power seller with over 4000 on my feedback.
But the fee's are way too high so have stopped using ebay lately as I know alot of people have done so aswell till the fee's are lowered, as real hard to get bargains on there now.
If you guys are in the usa I have been using a usa based site its in my profile on the right hand side as not leaving a url in here incase its againist the t and c's of mylot.
Alot cheaper to sell about 10 cents to list items no selling fees and really fast delivery on items that you buy.
Hope this is of use to you all.

I know the fees are crazy thats why I am hesitant. Because if the item doesnt sell then your stuck with a bill anyways.

well the site that I use now which is based in the usa, is about 10 cents to list the item and it stays on till it sells or till you delete it, it also has a built in escrow service so you are guaranteed your item or your money back.
theres also a best offer option so people can make you offers for your items so no more listing fee's selling fee's and then paypal fee's as on ebay you are hit 3 times.
Thats why I have moved away from ebay unfortunatly as used to love ebay.
Anyhow feel free to check my profile out think its 2nd banner down on right hand side

I never got into ebay, I am still afraid to use online sources to do my business, there are just so many ways that you can be scammed.

Oh,it's a good idea.Good luck.I didn't sell anything on Ebay, but I buy many things on it.If your collectables have enough attraction,I'm sure you will sell your first collectable. But first what you do is putting your goods on it.

Mine is farming catfish, but the amazing thing is buyers don't go for bidding price but they directly contact my email to negotiate the selling price and I am satisfied with ebay service and the service charge is really not a burden subject. So, I keep on re-listing with no charge applied. Thumbs up for ebay and I wish to create my own store in future time for many more products.

I haven't sold things on ebay although I have been considering selling my old stuffs. I just don't know if ebay would be a good place for selling. My options are still open.

I sell loads of items in Ebay and sold off some ladybird reading books recently. You can checkout my stuff with this same ID in myLot. The same ID in ebay. It's good money selling in ebay. The only thing is the joybidders and those who keep wanting discount and asking for best price. These are the ones that should be shot on their foot !!!

I havent actually sold anything on ebay, I have purchases somethings off of ebay, well technically it was my husband that got me a workout video and I think he got some fishing stuff, but I have been considering it...however we are having a huge yard sale this year... several of my aunts are going in on it and I have been going through things like crazy...
we purchased a small fixer upper house a few yrs ago and the things that never really found a home are going into the sale this year!! I think if alot doesnt sell I may consider ebay.
good luck to you if you do!!!

I also sell on e-bay and am having pretty good success. It is like any other business, you need to research what is selling, and don't overprice your items. Collectibles sell pretty good if they are what people are looking for at the time. Good Luck and have fun selling on e-bay.

hmf, i haven't sold anything. It kinda sucks... *sigh* i guess my item is not sellable in ebay but sellable in other sites. haha. =) Maybe because i don't have a high rating yet, i only have 1 feedback and as a buyer at that! Oh well...

My hubby's collectible listing on eBay have done a bit better towards the end of February. December, January and the first half of February was pretty bad.
Last fall and early winter, the listings were all selling, most with multiple bids, but once December rolled around, only around 50% of the listings sold and most of those that sold, only had one bidder.
But he sees a trend where he's starting to get multiple bids again and about 80% of the listings are selling now.
Maybe people are paying off the holiday bills, getting their tax returns and now have a little bit of "extra" money to spend.
Good luck with your eBay listings!

My mother has a store she runs off of Ebay and she's been doing fairly well here recently. She does a lot of personalized stationary items. My sister also sells on ebay and she does scrapbooking items. She did tell my mom she has slowed down a lot. I have yet to sell anything online but I did buy a couple things. Goodluck to you if you decide to go through with selling! =]
