Do you prefer to shave or wax your legs and why?

Today was the first time I have ever tried using hair remover wax on my legs. Although I made quite a mess at first I think I prefer it to shaving. I have horribly dry skin especially in winter and it's not only taken off the hair but it's taken off all that excess dry skin too! My legs feel nice and smooth. I'm waiting to see if it lasts as long as the package says it does also. I'm thinking this will depend on the person and how fast their hair grows back.

I have never waxed my legs. I have only shaved them. My mother in law used to wax her legs and said that she preferred it to shaving. I just don't think I could stand the pain of waxing. I have heard that it is quite painful.
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I had heard it was painful also and always put off trying it because of this. I found out rather quickly though when the directions say stretch the skin they mean it. The only time I found it even remotely painful was when I didn't stretch the skin down by my ankle the one time. Other than that it felt rather like a bandaid coming off.

hahaha, isn't it painful? Well, i'd love to try waxing but i am simply afraid it'll hurt like hell...lol..And a tip for you, if you don;t like your legs feeling all dry, apply some mosturiser directly after you shave, i don't think your legs will be as dry afterwards...yea? ^_^

No it didn't hurt at all once you get the hang of it. Ripping
off a bandaid is more painful! I have yet to shave my legs
since I waxed them! I didn't get that stubbly feeling either
and the wax removed dry skin on my legs. I moisturize on a
daily basis after I take a shower.

I have tried waxing strips, and it was ouch! so painful. So I tried hair remover wax, but it didn't remove the roots. It's similar to shaving, only that the remover wax is more expensive than shaving. So I now prefer to shave.

I've also tried those waxing strips and they didn't work very well. The wax I bought this time you heat in the microwave for about a minute, and it seemed to work much better. As for ouch.... It said in the directions to pull the skin tight before pulling off the strip. I did this and it didn't seem all that painful to me. I don't think I'd recommend pulling the strips off without pulling the skin tight. If this waxing lasts longer than the shaving does I'm thinking it may be worth it. I am keeping track of how long it does take before I get stubble so I can compare the cost and time of the waxing vs cost and time of shaving.

Well, I haven't done it in a few years but when I did, I shaved. I never thought about letting another person remove my hair lol

I'm not sure I would like another person to wax my legs. I bought a home kit at Walmart and did it myself in the bathroom. It took me about 10 min after I figured out what I was doing.
