Im not really afraid of flying since I used to ride a plane twice in a quarter when I was in the Philippines due to the nature of my job. With all the news I heard and read this past few months of airplanes got crashed for different reasons, I cant help not to feel so shaky. Next week I am scheduled for a trip and that I have to ride an airplane. I cannot help not to feel some apprehensions with my upcoming flight. Aside from those news, I experienced it myself last New Year some technical problem with a plane wing during the last trip I had going to Rome, Italy. Good thing it was been detected before the plane was about to take off. Imagine we were inside the plane and machines were running already that suddenly the pilot announced the problem. The flight was been delayed for some hours. Some were very angry maybe because their schedule or itinerary was been messed up. I felt relieved and thankful though even if we were held for more than four hours, because we were all safe. For my trip next week, I booked a cheap flight this time and sort of having second thoughts that I should have buy an expensive flight instead. Do you think that an expensive airline is more safe flying than with a cheap airline?

I am not afraid of flying but I only flew in an airplane once, when I went on a delayed honeymoon and personal family trip to barbados where my husband was from. Good luck to you.

I don't particularly like flying, I even hate the long flight... I am not affordable to sit on the business/first class so I need to be squeezed in the economy class which will kill me in a long flight...
I tihnk more expensive airline can offer more comfortable seat and environment for px but it doesn't necessarily mean it is safer, that's what I think.

Hi mermaidivy.. Yeah expensive airlines really will make your flight comfortable. I tried business class, but that was because my collegue who's flying with me happens to be a good friend of the co-pilot and its not a peak season so there were few passengers. We were at the business class though our tickets were on economy class. The food was superb and we were very comfortable whole throughout the flight. Thanks for responding..

Well I'm not scared of flying unless there's a bad turbulence. I have been to places and flew a number of times. Planes don't really scare me that much. But I sure hate some things about the plane, you know the pressure and stuff. I guess it's a matter of what class your in, the Business and Private class is more safer and comfortable. You can avail less expensive airline tickets, if you were like early bird.

Hello jhoannejoj! I heard some chronic crashing of airplanes too and that it made me scared of flying. I have tried to ride an airplane once and I was excited to ride it again but now, I don't know if I am still excited to do so..

I would say yes and no. Traveling to see my best friend (who lives 900 miles away from me) and the flight took about 90 minutes. Compared to driving, it would of taken me about 12 hours. I would like to fly again someday. Besides, I like to arrive at places by a shorter time. There is nothing to worry about.
