me too. it does not help me to drink coffee. it makes me feel tired more. there is some time that i get tired easily. i don't know as for the reason why. but there are times i feel so energetic though i have ate the same set of food. i guess it may be brought by the weather sometimes. like extreme heat then sudden change of weather can really affect our energy level. cause being in a tropical country like the philippines there is a time when it was too hot then in the afternoon the rain will suddenly pour down and give us so much health problems.
sometimes all i wanna do is sleep the whole day. when i feel like that i just give in and rest body till i have enough. sometimes like i have to sleep at least 10 hours or more for a day. but after a day of too much sleep i will feel that i have recovered my strength and that i am back to my normal self once again.

Have you ever had your thyroid checked? I was feeling drained all the time, sluggish, heart racing at times etc. Come to find out after being checked I had Hypothyroid. At first the Dr. put me on synthroid, I felt some better but after time I started feeling so tired especially after lunch in the afternoon. I researched and found many people saying they were on a natural thyroid medication called Armour Thyroid. I talked to my Dr. and he was willing to switch me to this medication. Since being on Armour (which is Pig thyroid) I feel so much better. A lot more energy!
Also try taking the supplement L-carnitine. It is suppose to help with energy levels.

i have not done so to have my thyroid check. but i don't think i have that kind of problem though cause i don't get to experience that sluggish feeling or riredness all the time or many times in a week. there is just only one day in a month that i will feel that way. and so i think it is not a big deal as of the moment. just maybe i was just really tired or maybe i have not eaten enough cause sometimes i do go on a diet without meat or protein. that was why i was not feeling strong enough .

Hi, How old are you if you don't mine me to ask? Or you might be pregnant(if you are pregnant, it makes you feel tired all the time). Well, there are many issues here... you could lack of energy because you dont have enough sleep or over sleep. Try to find something to do around the house or some work that interest in you. Take some vitamin, Drink milk, or eat some good that healthy for you. Can you drink Coke? Coke can make you up a little while. Give out get some fresh air, can help you feel better rather than sleep. Go exercise, or go shopping with friends because these make you want to do something and get you moving... I hope I can help. if these won't work for you then you should go to see a doctor.

When I feel tired, I usually go get a cup of hot tea and find some stuff to do. I don't like to wake up late and sleep late, try to keep myself in a good time schdule.

apples have you jolt gum, energy drinks, when i was working two full time jobs i used to take a pill called No-Doz that would keep me going to the shift was over. You probably just need a vacation on a deserted island without distrations. You could just lie on the beach and listen to tide roll in and out after about a week you might be back to your old self. Good Luck

Lately i've just been going to sleep lol well, taking a nap.
sometimes i will drink coffee or i will take my dog for walk to help wake me up.
showers help too. sometimes i will eat something that has sugar in to help since that stuff will make me really hyper. i figure it's gotta be able to help wake me up at least a little... maybe just wetting your face? getting up and moving..

Trying use lavender and peppermint in which relaxes you. If you have a wal*mart near you the lotion section should have something that has both in it, it's a very nice feeling, and it really can relax you. If you do this, it might help you get to sleep when you can't. I don't think sleeping longer so much helps, you just feel more tired, but staying on the schedule your used to and getting better sleep might help a lot. That and drinking energy waters!

It is really sad that you are unable to have proper sleep at the night. I have tried to have proper sleep at night but still I feel really tired when I get up in the morning. I try and take a healthy breakfast in the morning to make it a energy packed morning but still unable to so that.

I think for a noraml man who sleep 8 hours a day is enough. But I have the same period just like you.At that time,I have lots of pressure from my job,so I can not sleep well in night and feel so tied in working time.
I think you should take a rest and enjoy the other aspect of your life, such as walking outside and having a deep breath in outdoors.

It could be you need to put in some excercise time. Do that in the morning or at night and you'll feel like you have more stamina. Don't drink coffee since it makes your heart race.. which is a very uncomfortable feeling. Be careful not to over sleep as you'll feel depleted. And of course eat healthy.

Hi apples! I'd see the doctor because it could be one of many things or a combination of some. Iron and B12 vitamins..try thr liquid form if you can find it. If your sleeping but not getting any rest..you could have sleep apnea..research it if you haven't heard of it. Feeling this way is also a sign of depression. You should really talk to your doctor before trying to self diagnose though because it could be so many things. Good luck and take care.

My feelings almost just like you. I often feel tired in the afternoon. As usual, I drink some tea or coffee, but they don't give me big help. Sleep, i think that's a good idea. I really need sleep, when i close my eyes for a while ,i will feel well. I think i am lack of sleep.

If you have been sleeping more then it sopunds as if your quality of sleep isn't good. Look at what you are eating, watching or doing before you go to bed. Maybe your body is sleepy but your mind isn't. Try a few things to help you relax before you go to bed. They say that watching tv isn't good just before you go to bed. Maybe try a hot bath and a book or relaxing music an hour before you plan on going to bed. try it for a few days and see if it helps.

I know exactly what you mean. For about the last 5 weeks I have been the same way. It is absolutely impossible to get going in the morning. My kids are suffering majorly from it. I even take sleeping pills at night so I know I'm getting really good sleep. It is driving me crazy though. I take multivitimens, I'm not pregnant, get adequate sleep and still am feeling like I was hit by a bus all morning. If I had a job outside of the house I would be so beyond screwed!!!

Personally, I take a multi-vitamin each night before I go to bed, and then, when I get up in the morning, take a B-Complex vitamin for the extra boost. It really does help me a lot. If I happen to forget to take my vitamins, I can tell the difference because I feel drained of energy and tired all day long.

Hi apples..so many things can make you tired including spending too much time here on mylot..*grins*...Not that I would know!
However, you are your own best judge. Only you know how much sleep you are in fact getting each and every night.
Only you know how physically active you are and if you are eating right..or if you have a history of low iron or blood.
If in doubt, please do consult your doctor. It could be any one of a great number of things and all we are doing is guessing! It could be something very simple or more complexed.

Hi there apples99.. Maybe you are not sleeping well or not having enough restful sleep. My best advice is to see a doctor if it really bothers you. Sometimes playing us playing doctors won't work.,,
