A cup of coffee and even several loaves of bread will not be enough for me. Yes, I will definitely survive but I don't think I will be able to do my work well? Remember, an empty stomach will cause the mind cells to deteriorate which will eventually result to poorer performance. If the mind can not function well when food intake is inadequate, the whole body is also affected. Without enough energy, some works can not be done.

For me I am not used of not eating heavy breakfast with preferably milk. Coffee would be optional. My breakfast for me is important, I could eat a little lunch and dinner but never on my breakfast...thanks....

Most of us office workers do not need to eat rice in the morning. After all our physical activities throughout the day is just keyboard exercise, plus a few short trips to the pantry and washroom. So for me, coffee and 2 slices of bread is more than enough to start the day. Lunch will consist of noodle or chicken rice or mixed vegetables rice. While I was on a holiday in China, we stayed with a rural family there. The landlady was really a big eater by our city folks standard. She consumed 4 big bowls of porridge for breakfast. We could hardly finish our first and only bowl of porridge. The bowls were really huge, equivalent to 8 mugs of coffee. The porridge was quite thick, not those watery version.

I guess I am really sensitive to coffee. If I have a cup, I can't sleep for 24 hours. Also bread raises my blood sugar too high and that causes problems too. My favorite breakfast is a cooked egg and maybe something like spinach and/or a little short grain brown rice with cinnamon and milk. I need to eat small meals (about the size of my fist) throughout the day to keep my blood sugar up and my thinking sharp.
