You say it's over when you decided that you need to MOVE on and that you have ACCEPTED the fact that things will not be the same and that you HAVE SEEN the importance of your new LIFE without your partner.

I would say that you are over someone when you are indifferent to him.. No anger, no pain, no love, nothing at all. You just have memories but they don't come to life when you remember them. I say indifference is what you feel when you have already let someone go.

The way I believe you finally know you are over someone, Is when you can think about them with out feelings of anger. When you can really be happy for them ,and not feel resentment about all that has gone on with the relationship. If you are still having feelings for them , even bad ones, you are still emotionally attached to them. That's just my opinion.

for me, it's when you can sleep at night without thinking of him/her before you sleep and feel unaffected whenever someone asks you about him/her..and when you can smile whenever you see him/her not because you see him/her but because you're able to paint a smile while saying to yourself that "im over you..i have moved on"
