Is Facebook A Waste Of Time ?

I use Facebook in a professional context to get in touch with people and, keep in touch with other professionals in my field that I have met or I work with in RL. I also find handy that I can efficiently block people I want nothing to do with and prevent them from viewing my profile. I don't spend a great deal of time on it: I may visit it probably once a month AT MOST. The site doesn't interest me in any other way so I don't actually consider it a waste of time in a harmful way. :)

I'm not a member of Facebook. I don't have intention to be one. I have Friendster and other interesting site that are far more better than Facebook.

I think that Facebook is a huge waste of my time, but I can't seem to pry myself away from it. I spend a lot of time on there that could be spent doing many other things that are more worthwhile. It has helped me keep up with a couple of people that I wouldn't have talked to anymore otherwise, but hardly worth the time and effort I put into it.

I spend about an hour a day on there but I keep in touch with many relatives, friends and former students and colleagues that I cannot keep in touch with as easily, since they live far or we do not have the time to connect. I am loving it, as these are people whom I care about, we get to share photos, joys, sorrows, events, etc. I am sure that it can take up a lot of time but if you spend too much time on there, just set a timer for how long you wish to be on there and get off when it rings!!

No I dont think that facebook is a waste of time. I sometimes spend hours on there when, yes, I probably should be doing something else. But the way I see it, life is short, and nothing that makes me happy is a waste of time!

I love Facebook for the fact that it has allowed me to connect with people I haven't seen in awhile or those champions I just want to "check in on". Please are fascinating and Facebook has opened the doors to finding opportunity and joint ventures that we wouldn't otherwise be able to do. The key is to schedule time for Facebook just like any other task so that you don't get sucked in.

I finally got a page there and realized that it is indeed a waste of time for me. The only people there that contacted me are all ex-boyfriends that want to argue and talk about their new girlfriends. One of the new girlfriends even sent me a message asking me to not respond to my ex's messages. I couldn't believe that seeing as though he is the one who sent me the messages and never got a response. I plan on deleting my account as soon as I get free time..its just boring there to me anyway...

I dont think that facebook is waste of time, At least for me, Because i log in everyday for 10-15 minutes to get some updates from friends and make soem updates in my page and leave, I don't like to add any applications or playing the games in facebook, so it doesn't spent my time. most time i feel it's waste of time too. cos it doesnt look much like a dating site, u cant earn from it, i dont really see it's usefullness.

hhmm yeah not a big fan of it, i log in facebook check emails reply then log out lol, all those daft request and applicatiosn spoil the site if it wasnt for those I would prob use facebook alot more but they really annoy me lol,
