Finally, A new avatar!!!

Well, after having the last avatar since last year, I decided to take some more pictures and make a new avatar. I just got my hair cut in a little cute style, and also I wanted a picture that showed me wearing glasses, which I do more often than not when I am on the computer. I hope that this time, I don't get many misnomers and get called a guy again 
I do look like a girl, don't I?
I like using my picture as an avatar, because I believe that I am reaching out to people, and I would like them to know who they are talking to. I tend to use the same picture for everything that requires an avatar online, kinda branding my face across the internet, so to speak.
Anywayz, so I can make this a valid discussion lol, I won't ask you how often you change your avatar. That question has been done to death here, anyone with a post count of more than 1000 knows that. What I will ask is this, how do you choose your avatar? Is it a picture of you, or something you aspire to be? Is is a favorite cartoon? Do you just choose what strikes you at the moment, or is there a meaning to it?

i change my avatar whenever i like
theres no special ocassion but lately i changed it because i was getting cold of my avatar being a half naked hahaha.by the way nice avatar than the one you had

You say you changed your avatar because you were cold, but this one has you in a spaghetti strap shirt 
lol, its good. But maybe next time you will use a pic that shows more of your face?

Yes, I told you about that some time ago, I wonder what the deal is. For me it is still the same. If I see you in a discussion, you have the generic MyLot Avatar. But once I go to respond, I see the regular picture that you have had all the time. Weird. Have you messaged MyLot about it? I would try taking that one down and uploading it again. You can do that under the preferences link at the top left hand side of the screen.

since i got your discussion on my mail i have to go around to see what your new avatar is. and yes i think this is a new and fresh you. your other avatar was quite serious and here you have a little smile. it is nice to see people update their avatar.... i will soon update mine if i find the right photo that i feel would be a great avatar. and yes it is a valid discussin. lol. i am a member for three years already and the first avatar of mine was my picture.... i changed it three times... then i put a picture of shrek.... then changed it again with my photo then changed it again with shrek and his family then now the pictures of my children but it was taken 7 or 8 years ago.

wow that is so cool that you remember me changing avatar. thank you thank you. it is not easy to let toodlers to sit still i agree with you with that.... but i hope you can get a great photo with them together. hope to see you more smile... just wanted to see how that looks

Yes, I remember all of those pictures. Even when you used Shrek it reflected you and your family life. Its great that you show your family off proudly like that. I can't get my kids to sit still long enough to take a picture lol. But I am thinking of taking a family picture next month, so maybe that will be my next avatar once I get them back and scan them.
I was smiling very slightly in the last avatar, but many people didn't see that so I'm not surprised that you thought the previous was so serious. I try not to smile too hard, that is what I am used to, but my features get so smushed up when I do that, its hard to tell that its me.

i am a person who always change avatar. its like mylot community is watching my child growing. har har har. so i am so shock to find you wait for a year before you changed your avatar. it is fun to be changing avatar but it is also a good idea to let your avatar sit for a year then when you change it.... it becomes a cool discussion. good work my friend.

har har har, my son is wuite popular already at mylot. i am using his name as a part of my username and i am using his pictures as well. maybe when my son is old enough he will use THE REAL SE7ENTHBIRD as his user name har har har. well if he wants to join then it is okay for me as long as he will be responsible enough.

I think your face didn't change from your last avtar just the background and the cloth is changed.
I always like your last avtar. It used to leave me a smile on my face everytime I saw that. NOw, I have to get use of this avtar. Hmm, became a little old too, don't you think?

Well, you were the one that thought I was in the seventh grade last time we talked lol, maybe its a good thing that I look older in this pic. But yeah, its still me, so I didn't expect the face to change. I took the previous one in my patio room when my computer was still up there, and I took the new ones in the basement where the computer is now, so that is why the background is different.
Don't worry though. If this avatar has the staying power of the last one, you have a whole year to get used to it.

That is a good news that you are not going to change your avtar until next year and yes, we chatted last time when you were in seventh grade. I wonder you have completed your school in no time. LOL
Alright, I think this can encorage me to give my pic at my avtar. I am not that good looking so, I am always staying away from posting my own pic!

Hey Savak! Yes, you chose the right avatar for what you wanted to do. You cannot help but see your avatar on any page that you post on lol. That little mouse is very cute, but do you think you will change him at any time? Maybe put up a picture of yourself, or another moving avatar so you can capitvate our attention again?

I don't ever expect to post a picture of myself. I don't think I photograph well and don't like the way I look in pictures. Also I am a little security conscious. Not much, just a little.
As far as changing the mouse to another avatar, it took me hours to settle on him and I really don't have the time to do another search. Besides, this way all my friends know it's me instantly.

Well, there used to be a time when I was known to switch my Avatar on here from time to time due to a Holiday, etc, but for me this is now the only Avatar I use on here. This is the real me, what I really look like, and even though the picture is almost 3 yrs. old now, it is me. Eventually I hope to take a more updated picture and get it on here, but for now this is the one I have here.
It is really nice to see an updated picture of you, and Great to see that Smiling face. Wishing you the Best.

Thank you Tina. I just crossed the two year mark myself in February. I have grown accustomed to seeing this picture of you on here, although I would love to see another. I guess I just like seeing real people on here, it makes it seem more like I am having a conversation face to face, instead of just typing on a computer.

Let me first say how nice you are looking in this new pix though I must say I cant get the new hair cut…can we have another pix from another angle? Wearing glasses, specially during doing the net is good coz it causes less harm to your eyes. I wear contacts throughout in office and so at the net, and sometimes my eyes burn a lot.
Regarding my avatar, I just liked the look of this white rose…rose is a beautiful colour but has thorns too, so it should not be taken lightly or casually. Also, different coloured roses mean different things and white roses signify the following:
Purity, Innocence, Silence, Secrecy, Reverence, Humility, Youthfulness, "I am worthy of you", Heavenly
I perfectly identify with some of these traits and it was a strange coincidence that I was just opening my mylot account here and simultaneously, seemed to find like this pix on the net and liked it a lot. Its been with me since then.

I have a few other pics that I took that day, maybe I can show you through yahoo messenger? I should have taken a picture when my hair was first done, but I was being lazy and before I knew it it was time to take that out. I had to get my hair cut because it was breaking off in a small part in the back, and became very hard to style.
I love your white rose. I always think of the innocence aspect when I see your avatar. Its a great thing to show on this site I think.

I think that flower is very pretty, and if you don't want to change it, you don't have to, I give you that permission lol.
These people that thought I was a guy could be classified under those people who look at the title line of a discussion, then respond without reading the discussion itself. I took it with a little more than a grain of salt, because now when I take photos, I try to make sure that my hair is showing so people know I am a girl.

I think you look like a girl. I don't get why anyone thought your were a dude in your last one.
I changed my avatar recently to a picture of my daughter that I thought was just adorable. I change it sometimes when I find a picture I really like.

It wasn't the last pic that I had, it was the one previous. Another pose that I had took that same day. I guess I didn't have enough hair showing, so soon after when I was responding to discussions people were talking like "I agree with him" and whatnot. So I changed it to the pic I had before this one.
This time when I took the pic I made sure that I showed my hair, so I didn't go through having to explain x amount of times that I wasn't a guy.
I keep my avatars to pictures of me, because I do a lot of business over the internet. Even though this is the age of technology, I would like the people I do business with to still feel we are doing business face to face. If it wasn't for that I probably would be using Sailor Moon pictures lol.

I, for one, like to look at smiling faces.
I always choose an avatar that is a work of art of mine. The avatar I am using here on Mylot is a drawing I created and sold, of the drawing of an eye. :)

Wow that is great! I always thought that it was a clip of a larger picture though. You have good skills in drawing, skills that I sometimes wish I had. I have the gift of manual dexterity, being able to write and type, but drawing has never been kind to me lol. I love your avatar, and would like to see more of your work.

As for the avatar, I really just choose whatever suits my mood. Right now I have a purple rose because I love roses, and I love(d) purple, and I have never seen a real purple rose in life. I have not posted a picture of my actual self on this site yet because I have not been around long enough yet :) When I have posted my first 1k then I will probably put the face out there as a celebratory thing, lol, but on other sites *ones that you can change your avatar's features* I change it to whatever I look like at that moment, or again, my mood. Really everything I do is based around my mood :)

Thank you, that means that I did good in choosing this pose. I guess I have a lot of trouble with this, because I look a lot like my dad. Certain poses I look exactly like him, so its no wonder that some people thought I was a guy a while back.
You say that you love(d) purple. What stopped you from loving that color, and if so, why haven't you changed your avatar yet? Although I have to say that purple rose is very lovely.

Thank you wolf. As far as recommending an avatar, I can't. An avatar is something that I believe a person has to choose for themselves. An avatar, whether it be a real portrait, a photo of something, or even a cartoon, is a representation of you. So since you feel that you are no good at pictures, roam around the internet and search for something that you feel represents you, then use that image as your avatar.
