Bed time

We all have different habits, including sleep habits. Do you have a regular bed time or do you go to bed at different time depending on what you are doing? Do you stay up later than you want to just to be on myLot? I sometimes stay up to late just to post here. I regret it in the morning because I'm tiered.

Hello TheCatLady! I have the habit of praying before going to bed. But when we talk about what I usually do before praying and before going to sleep I have the habit of waiting the update of my earnings first before sleeping. It's night here everytime I could see the update of my earnings and sometimes it's 12 midnight before mylot will update here so I'll sleep until midnight too..
But it's more advantage to me because while waiting, I just post and post..hehehe.

I don't even know when my earnings get updated. I know I'll make payout this month, so I don't care. I try to get to bed by 11, but it's not always possible.

Living alone means you don't have to get up for others. I'm alone too. I would hate to have to get up every day and take care of another human.

I don't have a set bed time mine are all messed up. I work 3rd shift mon. night thruough sat. morning and on those days i try but dosn't always work out i try to be in bed by 11am the latest. On my days off i will only get in about 10 hours that's it so it's not to bad i guess. I know we should get the rewuired amount of sleep that is needed but it dosn't always work out that way i guess lol.

I hated third shift. I once worked weekly rotating shifts and working the third one really messed up my clock.

I usually put the kids to bed at 8:00 and then try to be in bed by 10 myself. Like the previous poster, I like to watch a whole show, and not stop in the middle, BUT, now that I have a DVR, I can record a show that will make me stay up too late.

I have to get up at 6:00, because if I don't get up, my husband doesn't get up, and then he is late for work. So by 10:00 I am usually falling asleep anyway. On weekends I do tend to stay up later.
How do I do it? I try to get as much of my housework done as I can before the kids get up, then we spend time together, then while they get their 2 hours of morning cartoons, I get online. Then we do schoolwork (I am teaching my 3 and 4 year olds to read, or at least recognize the alphabet, my 11 year old does actual schoolwork, yes, I homeschool) After lunch, the girls take a nap while the boy does more schoolwork and I can get online again. When the girls get up, we clean the kitchen and start supper, then after supper we do family time (except on Wednesdays, my husband takes my son to scouts on that night) Then the kids go to bed at 8:00, and my husband and I watch DVR shows until 10:00 and we go to bed and do it again.
We don't do much "going out" on weekdays, because of my husband's job, so weekends tend to be a little more hectic, but we try to still do things together.

I go to bed at different times, but usually somewhere between 11 and 1... except for the times I stay up all night.

I try not to stay up all night. If I'm reading, I can read all night long.

My sleeping habits have gotten a bit wacky. I've always been a night owl, but now I seem to go to bed later, and get up later. For some reason when I have a full day/night of working/writing on articles while tired I'm like overtired...I usually stop being in front of the computer around 1 or 2 a.m....then take a bath to relax a bit then sit like a zombie in front of the TV--don't ask when I finally do haul myself to bed. I read elsewhere where you live alone...so do I, so I'm not "accountable" for taking care of anyone else but me..and of course my two kitties but they're used to their "mom's" strange habits..LOL

I wish I could take a bath that late. My water is cold at night. I need to bathe during the day. My kitties don't care when I sleep. They just join me in the bed whenever that is. Al they care about is getting fed. The dogs on the other hand want out by 7, so I have to get up to let them out.

Well it all depends on when I go to bed. If I dont work in the morning then I go to bed pretty late like around 3 or 4 am but if I do have to work in the morning then ill probally go to bed around 12 or 1am but usally it varries since a lot of nights I cant sleep and stay up later.

I find it hard to change my sleep hours. If I go to sleep late one night I want to continue it. Same with early.

I've been having trouble sleeping lately. When I do fall asleep I sleep like a rock and nothing can wake me.

I am a night owl - that's for sure. Going to bed early means before midnight. Although my body does like to be asleep by 4am.

LOL 4am? I remember when that was almost morning for me. Once upon a time I had to be up and out of the house by 4:45. I hated it.

hello thecatlady
during the weekdays, i usually go to bed around nine or nine thirty p.m. at the latest. i get up at six o'clock a.m. every weekday morning that there is school and pack two school lunches and get both of my son's off to school for the day. so if i stay up too late during the week when that i have to get up early the next morning, then i am tired as well and regret that i stayed up late. i usually only stay up late on friday and saturday nights. during the summer time when there is no school going on, then we have no certain bedtimes and no certain time to wake up the next morning unless that we have to get up early to go somewhere the next day. and i guess that i have stayed up later than i should some nights posting around here at Mylot as well.
take care and have a beautiful evening.

With kids you need to be up early to be sure they get fed and get their lunches. I don't have kids, but I sometimes have things that need to be done in the morning.

I'm late getting to bed because of watching videos lately. I have a full year of The Dog Whisperer and am enjoying watching 1 or 2 episodes a day. I need to turn it off and sleep.

Sleep Management.
In my opinion, the quality of sleep is important, not the quantity or routines. I often sleep for 1 hour, but many times, so that the amount in a day on average 5-6 hours. Not important for me whether it is day or night.

My quality is always good. When I sleep, I'm out like a light. I need about 10 hours to feel good. Splitting it just doesn't do it for me. I did that when I was working lng shifts with small breaks. My body need at least 8 hours without interruption.

I usually am asleep by 11pm but when my daughter is here or if I am visiting her she and I stay up late and talk, watch tv and laugh. Also when the TV reality show Big Brother is on I stay up late a lot watching BB After Dark on showtime and it is on until late. I don't have to get up early in the mornings even though on late nights I am up by about 8am.

It's just the opposite with me. When I visit my mom, I'm so tiered I go to bed early.

i always try to maintain timings and do things accordingly as all work will be done on time. eating on time, sleeping on time it really helps if the work to be done is irregular then i really dont like it, yes i agree all days cannot be done the same but sometimes it is fine when there are guest and sometimes late night watching movie and all orelse i would try to sleep ontime as i need to get up early morning along with my husband to make the breakfast and all.

I'm single so I only have to answer to myself. I'm trying to start new sleep habits and get to bed at the same time every night.

I am a notorious night owl, so I have to set a time for bed - usually 11 pm on weeknights because I have work in the morning. Also, if I am watching a tv show, I like to see the whole thing, whereas my husband will just get up and go to bed before the show is over. I could not do that, because then I would be wondering how the show ended. On weekends, sometimes we stay up until 2 a.m. if we go out or do something. Fridays are usually the night for that, when all the neighbors get together and cook outdoors at our spot in the forest.

Thankfully I don't watch TV. I'm trying to get to bed earlier, but it's hard. I'm on the computer to much.
