I do not like my job and want to quit the same but with the current scenario of job loss and recession do you think will it be right time to quit the same? PLease suggest!!!

couple of questions you should ask yourself. first off, where am i going to go if i quit. the other is do you feel that you can go into another job and show your worth quickly enough that if there is a layoff, that you would be protected.
i just made the move 6 months ago, because of differences between my manager and me, which was causing problems at home. but i made sure i had a job lined up so i could start immediately. within the first week of my new job, i had volunteered myself for a new safety committee they were starting. and i have been giving my input on problems they are having. what i'm telling you is make sure that your new job isn't looking at you as a crutch, but as an asset. i have been at this job for 6 months, and i feel as comfortable as i did at my old job of 10 years.

Only if you have a form of income to support yourself etc at this time.
Maybe look for another job while still working at your present one also
as you seem unhappy with it. Good luck also.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hmm...It really depends on what you are planning to do,if you quit the present job.If you have planned something and have the basic infrastructure to implement your plans ready, then may be you can think of leaving the present job. However, before you do that just think( without any prejudice) about what makes you struggle in the present job.If its something you can work upon, try to work on that and in parallel work upon your hobby or whatever you actually want to pursue as a career as a back up.It should help you improve your present life at job and learn, enjoy what you actually want to do in your life.Good Luck.

You'd better keep your current job. Of course, if you have another company to accept, you can leave. I quit my job in January without any preparation, just because I'm tired of my boring job. I keep looking for a new job and have got several unsuccessful interviews, so I'm still at home now. During the downturn period, it is too hard to find a better job than you do now. Believe me. Good luck!

It seems that you already answered your own question my dear. You don't like your present job, but you have no choice because of the present economic crisis. What is something you want to risk? Have a job or not? If you choose to have a job, then learn to love your present job for now. It is better that way than nothing. Unless, there is a job that awaits you, then you have to choose. At this time, be practical.

It depends on. If you can find another job easily, that's alright. If not, quitting the job right now will be a risk. You may find another job, but the salary may not be as well as you expect due to the recession. Or it is difficult to find a job.

You should not quit your job just like that.

Hi there
For now, better stay with your present job. Patience.... Don't leave unless you have a new sure job waiting for you.
Its really hard to find a new job nowadays.

Right now is not the time to be quitting a job. The only way I would advise you to do so is if you have another job to go directly to already in place. The economy being the way it is right now, people are losing their jobs left and right. I strongly advize you to hold on to this job if you do not have another one to walk directly into.

I know it is hard for one to do jobs they don;t like.I have been there before.I was in a state-own company and earned hansome salary at that time. But i was unhappy.Every morning i open my eyes and said to myself :another miserable day is begin.Work takes up almost 1/3 of one's life.So if you don't like your job,you would get tired with your life soon.My suggestion is find another job you like while you are in current company.Best wishes to you.

I think you should quit your job and find another one or a way that can help you earn money by your own skills. Like making bags by crochet, something like that or attend to seminars or join institution that can help you enhance your skills.

you do NOT like your job????
hmm...
I think, it's best to identify first what makes you NOT like your job...
If the factors are resolvable, then try resolving...
I agree that you should really think it over before resigning... It's really hard to look for a job nowadays... Good luck!

unless you can find a job first I do not recommend quiting your current position. It is hard to find a job when you have a job but you need to be sure your leap is for a better situation and with a stable company. Remeber anywhere you go you will be the low man on the totum pole and last one in is the first one out for layoffs. Good Luck with whatever you decide.

With the ressesion being bad and no jobs out there right now I d say you have to stick it out for now. I am not sure what your skills are or what you are lookin to do as a job. On the other hand If you are in a job that you don't like and don't want to be at your not going to excel and your performance will go down also you will be stressed and deppressed. So weigh your pros and cons but I honestly would stick it out for now. Inless you can find a back up job and think you would like it before you give your job up.
