A co-worker gave me one because she said it was to hard to push on her floors. Personally I always wanted the H2O Mop. But I gave this a try and it was a little tough to push around at first, but once I got the hang of it I like how it worked. Although I have to say in the infomercials they make it seem so much easier and it cleans so fast. It does save you the wear and tear of old fashioned mopping and it does cut into the sticky spots a lot faster, but I still go over the floor several times to make sure.
I do like how it looks when finished and the floor is not sticky and it smells like it got steam pressed LOL
So have you tried this yet?

I haven't tried the Shark but do have the H20 and I love it.Our carpets were rather stained and it got most of it out. It's easy to use on the stairs. Plus, the moisture it puts into the air is great. It holds lots of water, plenty to do my entire downstairs and then some. And, it has been knocked down and dropped several times and it keeps on working like a charm.

That's why i wanted the H20 because of the carpet steaming the Shark has an attachment, but I don't have it and I might look in to ordering it. But I liked the H20 promo better on tv.....so I still might get one of those.

Hi.
I have tried a steam mop. I clean houses for a few older ladies and one of them has this type of mop. She thinks it's the greatest idea yet. So what was I to say to that. I find it OK. Yes, it is a little harder to push than a normal mop. After the cloth gets good and wet, it is a little easier though.
I know that it is supposed to disinfect the floor with the steam, but is there enough steam to actually do that? In my house, i am wondering if it would actually clean the floor. I'm thinking that I would need Pine-Sol or some kind of cleaner to get the dirt etc off of my floor.
Actually, the last time we used it, the older lady suggested we put a bit of cleaner in with the water...which we did. it seemed to work just as well. I fell this is cleaner-somehow...maybe it's just the cleaner smell.
Personally, i wouldn't pay that amount for a steam mop...just my normal Vileda twist mop is OK with me.
PS. It is recommended for all types of floors...even hardwood. We(the lady I clean for and myself) decided not to use it on the hardwood as it leaves too much water on the floor. We wouldn't want to take the chance of ruining the wood.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Well i actually noticed it cleaned my floors better (like they said which is a shocker) without leaving a residue that a normal mop and cleaner would and has. And I tested it with my bare feet and socks LOL And I know you are not supposed to put anything other than water in the mop. So maybe that is why it leaves water on the floor. It says something about how it can mess up the machine if you do, because I never had standing water afterwards which is why I love it. But what I do for a tough spot or for a clean freah smell is I spray a little of my Fabuloso on the floor and let it sit for a minute while it heats up and then mop with it. So the cleaner gets on the pad.
Thanks for your input.

No, I have not used this type of mop before. I really would like to have a mop that I don't have to wring out. I had one from Maxway, and I still had to end uo using my hands to wring the mop out. It was supposed to absorb the water into the mop head, that way, I won't have to use my hands to wring the mop out. So, something like this would be good for me to have.

This is nice because all you do is pull off the pad and wash it. And then put a clean one on.
Honestly i am glad she gave this to me.

I'm glad you brought this up because I've been wanting a steam mop. I keep seeing the infomercials for the Haan steam mop. You can use this one on carpets and furniture too. I would love to get one so I don't have to use chemicals anymore on my floors.

It does make a difference...and you don't have to wait for it to dry it dries instantly...which is a plus in my house with dogs, cat and people who can risk breaking a hip
I would love for this one to do all those things. AHHH I'm envious.
