Does anyone here have any idea how much should be charged for writing a 30-100 page e-book? How about a mini-report? Thank you for your answers. Appreciate them so much.

depends on the material but if you try to charge too much it will crop up on bittorrent pretty fast. The internet is a funny place like that. Everybody should pay for work done but if people think thye do not have to pay U2 for an album they released today, it will be hard for you to get market value for an e-book no matter the content.

You are right. The Internet is a funny place. I wonder how other people are making big bucks by selling e-books.

It seems if you have a get rich quick book, that will work, I think if you have something that is a niche. If you are a famous writer there will be piracy but if you only have a niche following you they will pay and your work becomes a premium good luck.

Well it depends on what you think the value of the book is, you see a book written by you and a book written by a famous author would have different value. Unless you can stake claim be a an authority in some field, it would not be easy to sell your ebook.

Yes, I think it is hard to sell an e-book with all the competition around.

Well depends on what is your content, if you make it special, it would have it's selling point. Then you must decide who you want to target to. Then choose a marketing tactic.

i don't the price of the book will depend on the number of pages it depends on the author and the organisation which is selling it. i never tried to buy any e-book, reading e-book gives a lot of pain to the eyes.

If you write an ebook maybe you should charge as much as you can because one you sell one copy it will be all over the net and therefore free. It is the nature of e-books.

It depends on the content. Maybe see what else is out there and see what they charge for similar stuff and set the price accordingly.

Well you need to search for what the market rate is for writers , it will be different from country to country and it also is based on your experience as a writer . good luck

I think it should be free so that everyone can share the resources!

Ahmmm, would you write an e-book for someone for free? I certainly won't. Some are earning a lot from selling e-books.If you are a writer, do you think it is wise to do it for free? I don't think so.

1. what's the content, is it good? and not by your opinion but by average on the net. 2. is there other e-books like that out there already? 2b if so what do they charge? 3. if you are distributing yourself, charge a little bit less - you are not a celebrity 4. if you are a good marketer you can sell it at a pretty good average and mass market to a big audience :) There's actually an e-book on how to sell e-books haha, but generally you will sell it very cheap. Just use keywords where people will be fooled. Like if you write a "relationship manual" just call it "how to get laid" or whatever. There are unfortunately a lot of people who will pay for that :o Good luck! :)
