I also collect misc. antiques and a lot of little old things. My favorite to collect is vintage buttons and other old sewing items. I also have a nice little old shoe collection. Oh and prisms. I have a bunch of different colors I hang them in the windows. They also make nice gifts. I give them to people and tell them to hang it in the window and when they see the rainbows they can think of me.

I sure do know what you mean. You stick them in socks so you can darn them. Now days we just throw the socks out and buy new ones. We might be darning again in a few years the way things are going. I have had a lot of them and sold them, I still have one or two kicking around here some place.
I like the old sewing birds and thimbles too.

In this kind of activity, I think I am the worse person because didn't possess any historical items of collection. Only books, and I believe that people cannot accept old books as a collectible item because not many people like to read book, especially in today's world where people use internet for their references or looking for journals. Maybe someday I will collect historical facts.
Any historical facts, normally related to the custom and culture to one ancient community, I heard the local national museum will buy it and the price is very high and there is no specific rate for it. A fast and legit way to be a millionaire. This factor that inspired me to look for an ancient historical facts of collection. Don't know when and where, but just hopes would found one someday...LOL!

Hello moneymommy! I used to collect spongebob's collectibles like stickers, pillows, cups, shirts. Anything as long as there is spongebob's picture there. But now, I lost interest and more interested in earning online.

I sort of collect books, which is a bit of a problem really because I have had to build more and more shelves to put them on. Every now and again though, I will have a clear-out and either put them on Ebay or Amazon or take them to a charity shop. . Derek

We always end up having a large assortment of books in our home. We have shelves and shelves of them. We do end up re-reading them a lot so I will keep them a little longer.

hello moneymommy
i collect two things. cookbooks and shot glasses. what a combination, right? lol i have been wanting to purchase a shot glass shelf to display all of my beautiful shot glasses that i have purchased in the past at different places on, but i haven't been able to get myself one yet. i guess that e-bay is about the only place that i know of to purchase a shot glass shelf. i have over thirty shot glasses that are in my collection of them. i like to pick up a shot glass when i visit some place that i haven't been before. and i have also purchased some beautiful shot glasses at yard sales before. i have a shot glass that is in the shape of a small glass boot, and it has Jim Beam on it, and i gave a dime for it at a yard sale. lol i guess that that one is my favorite one that i have in my collection of them. and i guess that i have over seventy cookbooks in my collection of them as well. my favorite cookbook that i have is one that i purchased several years at a local bookstore here in town and also on that day, i got to meet Emeril LaGassee, off of FoodNetwork! he signed my cookbook! the name of the cookbook is "There's A Chef In My Family". he also wrote BAM on the cookbook in real big letters across the inside of the cookbook.
take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

I have some shot glass collectables and I do have a small boot shot glass but it has German writing on it. Wow that must of been neat to meet Emeril LaGassee and have him sign the cookbook for you, that will make a nice edition to your cookbook collection.

I have lots of toys collections. My husband did influence me to do such collecting. I have collections of toys from McDonalds like complete KungFu Panda toys, complete set of Robo Sapiens, incomplete set of Surfs Up toys and many others. My husband loves to collect Star Wars and he has a lot in the house. He loves collecting toys from Mazinger Z, Appleseed, Gundam Z and also from Final Fantasy. I am husbands most number of collection goes to pictures, pictures and more pictures. He has also book collections but he stopped because he really is not a bookworm. Today our collection of toys continuous and movies as well are gaining more popularity so we are starting to collect movies.
