Can you speak another language, other than your mother language?
Me, i can speak other languages. Why i said i can speak in other languages, because i can speak more than one foreign languages.
Actually i am an Indonesian and my mother language is bahasa Indonesia. In my hometown which is in North Sulawesi, we have different dialect which is the manadonese and im pretty good with it. My foreign languages are English, thats the reason why i can post many comments and discussions here.
Other languages are Korean hangukmal, Taiwanese mandarin especially the hokian, Japanese nihongo, and filipino tagalog, the language in the Philippines.
Im not really that fluent for these certain languages, but i do speak basic conversation with people that came from those country.
I can easily talk with them and i can ask them to teach me more if i cant follow what they say...
I can sing some love songs from different languages above, but im only know how to write hanguk and tagalog, because among those languages, korean hanguk and filipino is easier. Hanguk, the way you write is the way you read...
Filipino using the alphabet so i dont have any problem with that.
Japanese and Mandarin, im not in reading and writing beacuse i need to memorize and familiarize with the steps-- wrong steps, wrong letter- wrong word! Wrong!!! it will go wrong...
Anyway, learning those languages, just because of my interest to know more about the culture in asia...
How about you?

Yes, I can speak other's language. Here in India, many people know language other than their own mother tongue. We have English which is very common. And for many of us Hindi which is our national language is not our mother tongue. So learning Hindi is like learning other's language. If I add dialects too, then I can speak five other languages. Good day!

i was amazed of how linguist you are.i bet your a fast learner so learning other language is easy for you
as for me, i speak tagalog coz im a filipino..and cebuano, a filipino dialect..the only foreign language i know well is English..nothing else, other than these..i want to learn the french language, spanish, chinese and korean..im more eager to learn french but i think its super heard though..it would require so much time and effort to be learning the french language but i know that it would be worth it once you already mastered the language and become a fluent speaker to it.
i wonder how you learn my language(tagalog)..who taught you by the way? i would be glad to hear you speaking tagalog here in my lot..looking forward to be your friend manya!

i wish i could speak other languages other than my native tongue. i guess hardly anyone can totally be fluent with more than two languages. my native tongue is filipino (philippines) but there are still other filipino words that i am not familiar with. i can also speak one of the many dialects in the philippines. english is the medium of instruction at schools so its kinda easy to get by. but i do wanna learn japanese, spanish and french. i learned basic spanish in college but since i didnt get to use it since then, ive already forgotten some words.

i could speak in my native tongue of course (haha) then i could speak another dialect here but in a very few words (ilocano). i studied spanish when i was in college so that's like the next thing to english BUT it's just very basic like introducing myself. lols. but i know more spanish than i do french. recently i also studied that language but i find it very hard unlike spanish which is close to our mother tongue. voila tout =)

I actually have two mother tongue, which are French and English. Those are the two languages that I first learned. I also know a little bit of Italian, as well as a little bit of sign language. However, not enough to be able to have an actual conversation in these two last languages.

I can speak three languages, While I am very fluent in English, I know french and german very well. German is a tough language to study, but french is very easy.
It is good to know several languages, especially in this highly competitive world where you never know what skills will be required the next moment.
