Definitely yes! Ever since catholic church empowers all over the world. Frankly, religion is not a big deal for me..most important is to know & follow JESUS and receive HIM with all your heart that HE is our savior. All we need is to Repent & be saved forever. GOD bless!

I have never seen any hard evidence but the Church has been established forever. It is run as a business, if it wasn't it would fall & they have property everywhere.
We nearly bought a house that was owned by the church but got out bid. It was stunning & the church made a pretty penny!!

Hi, in answer to your question, the Vatican and the church is one of the richest bodies in the world. The Catholic church is also the largest property owner in the world. I was in Italy last year and saw the Vatican and the riches that the church enjoys is beyond imagination.
You have to remember that in history the church was the most powerful force in all the kingdoms of Europe. Every Monarch had to express alliegance to the church.

Organized religion (not just Catholics) have been 4ripping off the people for millenia. I consider all religions to be dishonorable, especially when it comes to finances and money.

Yes I believe its true and most definitely the Catholic Church (I was raised a Catholic) not only for its possessions as you mentioned but also the the land they own and the donations they receive including I imagine tax incentives .. Religion is definitely a big business just just look at all these lay preachers and such starting up its not for the love of humanity its for the love of wealth .. am I sceptical ? I guess when I look at the world and see so many people suffering and see religious leaders so wealthy then I guess yes I am ..
