My family has always hung up there jeans to dry and then would put them in the dryer for 20 minutes or so to make them feel not so hard. Do you hang up your jeans to dry? We also do this because the dryer wont be on as long either and it saves on your electric bill.

I never hang my jeans up to dry. Where I currently live we don't have clotheslines in the backyward and aren't allowed to put any up. I just throw them in the dryer and fold then as soon as they get out so they don't get wrinkled.

If you fully dry your blue-jeans in the dryer they shrink and also wear down faster. I have alwasy only line dried them. Lately, for my entire laundry, I have only run the dryer for damp dry to fluff the cloth and then line-dry them. It does cut down greatly on the electricity bill, especially, if you have an older model dryer.

I've always hung up my jeans to dry. I never put them in the dryer. Funny that another poster mentioned the clothes line. I grew up with that and I'm thinking about doing that now. Yes, it will save money but I also remember how clean and fresh everything smelled when they were hung up on the line.

Yes, i hang up my jeans to dry if they're made of more cotton material than polyester because they will sure shrink big time if I put them in the dryer. I'm actually saving myself to buy new jeans doing this. Same thing with t-shirts too. If they're 100% cotton I hang them up to dry.

I have taken my jeans out of the dryer when they are "half-way" dry, because I don't like the "stiff" feeling when they have been air dried. When I was younger it didn't bother me as much, but now that i am older, my skin is more sensitive.

I put all my clothes in the dryer. I would never hang them up even if it does save the life of the clothes and save on electricity. Just too lazy lol.

I don't normally hang my clothes up to dry. My jeans go in the dryer with everything else. If it is a nice day outside and sunny and breezy then I will sometimes hang them up.

Yes, I do, In fact I never use a dryer for my jeans. Considering that they are heavy they usually take more electricity. Since this can be dried by simply hanging, then I would just simply hang it to dry. Nowadays we have to be wise and find ways to save money considering that economic situation we are suffering.

i always throw my jeans in the dryer with the rest of the load and just fold them right away so that they don't wrinkle. but i agree, it does save on the bills when you hang your clothes or leave them in the sun to dry.

funny how these cost cutting measures are now the fashion again. I rmemeber we did this when i was a kid, my moms strung a wire across the basement and hung our jeans. In the winter you had to make sure you got them before you went to bed beucase in the morning trying to put them on was torture. Thanks for the topic forgot all about those days.

Yes I do, or else it will smell odd. You have to dry it either by hanging it out on the sun or if it is raining hang it inside your house. It is always advisable to hang your clothes to dry it so that it will still smell good.
