Do you believe in soul mates?

I've just a watched a movie about a soul mates and it got me thinking if they really exist.
I am just wondering if anybody here believe in such thing and why?
Have you had any experience wherein you could actually say that you've found you're soul mate?

I haven't found my soul mate...and don't really believe in that...but I did find my spirit guide when I was 19 years old. She came in the form of a kitten...one among a litter of 8 who I had no intention of taking home since I was a newly wed but, when she looked at me she looked directly into my soul. She never behaved as a normal cat would. She would travel with me and just liked being near me. I felt a sense of peace when she was. An old Indian woman told me that these things were so because she was my spirit guide and that she would lead me into the light when I leave this earth.

spalladino, I too believe in that sort of thing especially with cats, I know what you mean about cats looking into your soul, I believe they do that, as I believe cats are so close to the spirit world, something most people do not even want to know about...

Nah, dont really believe it, but I also dont not believe it if you know what I mean. I guess I just have an open mind about these things. Im just living my life. If someone comes and he seemingly comes off as a 'soul mate' then that's kinda nice. I guess it would just boil down to how much we believe it or not. If we believe it then we think they are automatically our soul mates. If we dont, then we'll think its just a coincidence. Since Im in the middle of these perspectives then I just take it as it come, however it comes.
I guess you can say from my post that I havent had that kind of experience before. Might never will too. Then again, who knows right?^_^
