Okay, so call me a freak or whatever but look at the details:
Obama Campaign:
* Barack Obama - minority candidate who doesn't want to focus on race
* Joe Biden - older wise running mate
* Jon Favreau - Young (27 yrs old) speech writer
* Main Message: Yes America Can
* Platform: Change (typical US politics, lil bit of everything)
* Main Message: Yes we Can
Barack Obama, a relatively unknown Senator, is plucked from obscurity (by Oprah and others) and pushed into the national campaign. He's running against a moderate older white republican, is black, and has a wife and two kids.
Santos Campaign (West Wing)
* Matthew Santos - minority candidate who doesn't want to focus on race
* Leo McGarry - older wise running mate
* Otto - Young speech writer
* Main Message: Yes America Can
* Platform: A secure nation, a strong economy, a better education
Matt Santos, a relatively unknown congressman, is plucked from obscurity and pushed into the national campaign. He's running against a moderate older white republican, is latino, and has a wife and two kids.
anyone else think its just a lil too weird?

I never watched the West Wing but this does sound a bit too odd for reality. Do you really think that our country is now being governed by someone just because of this television show? Is that why Hollywood has been so active lately with the administration? Is Hollywood taking over the country?

i loved this show! i was watching a couple episodes last night and it was a lil too familiar. i wont get into conspiracy theories, but i bet a couple guys were watching and were like, hmmm i could do that.. hollywood already controls this country, what has happened lately that hasn't be covered/analyzed and discussed in a movie before.. not a darn thing
iraq = jarheads! all over again
