Vegetables are low in calories and packed with vitamins , minerals , antioxidants and phytochemicals . Carrots contain a very large amount of vitamin A and they also contain falcarinol , which may prevent cancer.

I believe all vegetables are equally healthy for us. If you overeat one type of vegetable, then that vegetable can become a bad thing for you. It is better to eat a wide range of vegetables, instead of just one vegetable. Besides, overeating carrots can pigment your skin into yellow, bronze, or orange because there may be an excess of carotene.

I agree with you that carrots is a healthy veggie, but here in our place, aside from carrots, malunggay leaves and malunggay veggie itself is very nutritious. Best for a lactating mother is the malunggay leaves to produce for her milk. There are also many health values from tha malunggay leaves.

I won't disagree with you. Carrots are amazingly nutritious, but need to be backed up with other veggies. Any veggie with a deep color such as leafy greens, broccoli, sweet potatoes, egg plant etc. are very high in nutrients. Someone posted a discussion on here a while back that told what main vitamin each color represented. I've known from childhood that a colorful meal was a well rounded meal.
So not knocking the carrots, but eat a variety of fruits and veggies.

I have always thought of brocoli (sp) as the most healthy veggie. It helps prevent cancer, provides fiber in abundance, and has a lot of vitamin C in it. Of course all of the veggies are very good for you and you should have a variety of them in your life. But, if I want to whip up a healthy snack for my children when they have been going through a junk food spurt I choose the brocoli. My oldest loves it, but second not so much, and my 3rd... well it remains to be seen, but he does love his veggies! Haha.

Hmmmm, I think I'm going to go with Spinach. High in vitamin A,C,K and Folic Acid. Also it has a lot of minerals in it as well Calcium, Iron, Magnesium. Very low in sugar, unlike carrots which are high in sugars.
Plus it made Popeye strong, Lol.

I love carrots. I believe they are very healthy and they are great for the eyes for seeing better in the dark and is great for the skin. Another great veggie is the avocado. Avocados contain oleic acid.It lowers cholesterol. Avocados are a good source of potassium. A mineral that helps regulate blood pressure. It's very good for circulatory, heart disease and blood pressure. If you have poor circulation eat some avocados.

actually carrots even though they say have a nutrient thats good for eyesight (which there is) you get enough of that nutrient in your normal diet, but if you ate carrots all the time theres a chemical that if you intake to much you can go blind, I'd provide a source, but it was in a written document but it is a plausible source i just forget the name, so I'd have to say spinach is the most healthy

Well, I definitely need to be eating more carrots. I love carrots, they are nice and cruncy and taste especially good when they are dipped in spinach dip. I love apples too, but my teeth are so sensitive that when i first bite into them the cold hurts my teeth. Not only are carrots good for your teeth, but they are good for your eyes, and skin.
I love your avatar by the way. The golden retriever is my favorite dog!

Here in our country,Philippines malunggay is also one of the best vegetables. It has all the vitamins and minerals and calcium our body needs.Compared with the price of carrots,it is much cheaper because you don't have to spend much money to include this in your meal it is readily available all year round. Now especially more researches are made it is a very important vegetables here.It can supply the much needed vitamins, minerals calcium and iron a newborn baby needs if only the lactating mother will believe in its potentials.

Apples are not that healthy. They are, nutritionally, quite worthless. Plums are high in vit C, more than is in oranges.
Blueberry is one of the healthiest fruits. Anti-oxidant rich, so jelps reduce aging.
The healthiest veg is anything green or red. You should strive for a baalance though, and a lot of variety.

I love eating carrots, they are nice. In my opinion, vegetables refer to something green and leafy, which contains a lot of vitamins. I thinking moringa leafs are rich in vitamins and also ampalaya. The greener the vegetable, the better.
