As a kid I was never a big gi joe fan myself, I didn't like the cartoon(even though I still watched it.)I didn't get into collecting the action figures( even though I did have some.) I just wasn't into it.
Recently I found out that a live action version of this franchize will be coming out in Aug. this year. I saw a couple of trailers for the movie and it actually looked good. So I think I'll be taking a look at this movie. I saw the good guys and only one or two of the bad ones. Movie tittle also has in it "the Rise of Cobra." From what I remember Cobra was always running around in a mask screaming," Retreat!!" So I wonder how they'll tweak his character, and the many of the other ones that I remember from my childhood. Tell me what you think, mylotters.

But im not really a fan of GI JOE to begin with but ill probally see this movie depending on reviews if it does well then ill deffintley see it if not im skipping like street fighter.

yeah, it does have that Transformers vibe to it, now that you mention it. Maybe the people who did that movie are doing this one, too. Someone's got enough money to bring back these 80's toons to the screen.

Yep, same as what I did with the release of the Transformers live action movie, I'll be giving this a shot.
I have been a fan of GI joe ever since I was a kid and I have been collecting the action figures again since the 2th anniversary line of GI Joe around late 2006.
No pics of Cobra Commander has been shown yet but Destro (without his silver mask) has already been shown to head the MARS group he owns which manufactures the armaments for Cobra.
Just a bit of info: Did you know that the GI Joe figures were the pioneers in what is now known as action figures? :D

No, I didn't know that about the GI joes. I thought that that was the He-Man dolls. But then again, I think the Joes go a little further back then the He-Mans. At that time in my life I just remember either kids were into HeMan, GI JOE, or Transformers. Thx 4 that bit of info, though.
