I've been having a bit of a problem with the mouse not scrolling properly. It just needs to have it's little rollers cleaned I thought. Well, I cleaned it's little rollers and it still would not work properly. Peering into its innards, I detected the problem. Cat Fur! The poor mouse was choked up with cat fur! I quickly solved the problem by using the vacuum to suck out the offending fur, and the mouse now works fine again. It just goes to show that cats and mice don't get on with each other!

First of all i am astonished you use scroll mouse in modern world of now,now coming to your problem years ago this problem happened with i also cleaned it and it didnot work that means the inner sensors are damaged so most probably you need to get a new one for your computer

It works fine now that I've vacuumed it out. I suppose that I should get a laser mouse, but as long as this one continues to do the job, I see no reason to do that. Thanks for responding.

I would say 'Bin It and get another'.
Just get a new one which is an optical Mouse, then you won't have the problem again with the little wheel getting clogged up, or having to have a Mouse Pad again.

Money's tight. I'd sooner fix it than spend money on getting another one even if it's not very expensive. Besides, I needed it today

I'd say get yourself a new one. Mice only last for so long and its time to get a new one. Get yourself an optical mouse. They work wonders and they are great.
