when i was younger when the first video game came out.... i hope i am right it is called ATARI. i played that with my dad. my mom has only one eye for the other eye is blind so she just watch us play and does not join for it makes her headache if she focus her eye on the game too much. now that i have four teen children we do play video games on ps2 together. we love the car racing of SOuth park, and we also paly bomber man. we always laugh out loud and get hungry in every game we finish. after that we will be grabbing snacks together. it is fun it makes me feel young as well.

Yeah I play video games with my kids. But I never played with my parents.Because my mother doesn't know how to use gadgets. And my father is always busy with his work and business. My kids and I love to play video games.I also play video games with my wife. What a coinsedense our business is video game rentals, the same as in the malls.Thats why we play together.Especially family if where in the mall,we make sure to go to the amusement center to play some games.Playing video games makes you
and your kids more alert and a bit smarter. You why, because when you play your brain nerves are working too.

I play games with all my children too. I think it gives you a connecting point, you're also the cool mom when friends come over and they want you on their team to play because you rock the house on some games. I love star wars battlefront and I'm a bit sad it's discontinued.
Lately my 16 year old and I have been playing oblivion. It's a computer game but I like it better then Halo. Okay, I'm a game freak sometimes, but I think it gives you something in common with your children. You are spending time with one of their interests so it's easier to get them to try new things of yours. I recently got them playing horse shoes and they like that now.
Plus if there is a game night were we all play, everyone is busy cleaning up or doing chorse so we can all sit down together. I know a lot of people think games and electronics take family time awy, but in our case, it really pulls us all together.

yes a connecting point. it will take family time a way if you will not join in with your children. yes there are games that only them are playing and there are games that only me plays specially if there are some story plots that only one can play, but of course there are a lot of games that the whole family can enjoy indeed. they also try to get interested on things that i do like cross stitch lol. thanks for the response

I play video games with my son. We love WII fit and the rock band series. It has gotten him interested in playing the guitar and an interest in singing. I think its a great way to spent together and talk, believe it or not.

It must make you feel warm to play video wtih your father when you are younger and with your son when you grew up!
I have never played such video games with my parents as they don't want me to play and they hoped that i totally focus on study!
But it is certain an unforgettable experience that we should often recall and cherish.

sorry to hear that. video games does not affect the studies IF you play moderately. it is a cool way to release stress and to connect with my family. i hope when you have kids of your own you will play with them but make sure you put limitations so they wont forget their studies for studies are really important. me and my children plays during weekends and i keep the games on weekdays. thanks for the response

We used to have a Playstation2. I used to play games with my kids everyday. We since have sold the console. I do sometimes play on my daughters Nintendo DS. Of course, I play alone. I miss the Playstation though. We had Rock Band and Guitar Hero 2. Both very good games. We used to have a lot of fun.

Yes, I do play play station games with my sons. But, I'm not really good at it so, it's not that often. There is this game called harvest moon and that's the only game I can play since it doesn't require one to be very good in the controls.

I seldom play video games with my child as he is still very young. Not many video games are suitable for him right now. Sometimes my husband and I will play the video games together. But Xbox doesn't have many games which allow two players.
I love China

When I was a kid, i didn't have a chance to play video games with my parents since it is not one of their interest and priorities, although I did have a chance to play card games with them :).. but now that I'm a mom, I do find time to play video games with my son and daughter. And it's nice to see my husband and my son always having the time to play together since it's one of their favorite past times... It also serves a bonding time among us... :)

Yeah,I like home amusement, but i never play with my parents.
When i was young, my father would beat me and force me stopping playing the video game to learn, if he found me play it, because he considered video games were harmful.
I only played with my college classmates, and liked the soccor game.
Now i play psp. :-)

I don't play video games with my children yet because they are not quite old enough to play them yet. I think they'd be more of a nusiance than anything. There will come a time when they'll get their chance to play their games. It's only a matter of time.

Play video games with whom ever you can enjot playing it. In my household the age varies from 14-75. All of them love playing those. But there is a fact, Most of them like playing simple shooting games. Strategy games are less prefered by all.

Yea i dont really play with my parents because the games i play now are a little complicated. like Call of Duty 4 and Call of Duty World at War both on Xbox 360.
My dad tried to play with me, and we had a lot of laughs, but it was just too hard and he did'nt have neough spare time to learn ALL the control's and get good at it. But i have online so i am not just on my own.

Of course!
We got a Wii for christmas, and everyone likes playing against each other. It's fun to just set the computer, book, whatever! aside, and mess around for a while. They have mats that you can jump on, run on, lay on, it's really a neat gadget. I don't know if the Wii brought us closer, but it's definitely a great family activity on really cruddy days!
