are you afraid?

I don't care for roaches or spiders but I'm really scared of Bees and Wasps

Hi again!Oh I am too scared of cockroaches!Believe me I am embarassed to say that I am a zoology lecturer in a school.Once we had practicals where we had to prepare a slide of cockroaches thigh muscles.The cockroaches were kapt in a plastic jar.We gave it anesthesia and when we opened the lid It just jumped out.Guess who screamed the loudest?!Yes me....the teacher.Also I am scared of frogs and lizards too.

I am damn frightened of them, that is the only weakness in my life right from my childhood, if anybody wants anything done by me, they can get that done by just showing me one...i am just frightened to the core, but my daughter who is 3, catches them, my father has made her do so, since he wanted her to be just the opposite to me and not afraid of anything

Yes, i am afraid of cockroaches either.. they are so disgusting! yikes! They are known to be household pest insects. They can carry microbes on their body surfaces counting those that are dangerous to humans, food poisoning(salmonella), etc.. it's advisable that we keep our food in sealed containers, cleaning all parts of the house most especially the kitchen area, using cockroach baits and safe to use sprays, etc..

Oh yes, they are the insect I fear the worst. Especially the really big ones. When I lived in the US in Ohio, I never once saw a cockroach in my home or in any home. Then when I moved to Egypt, I saw some small cockroaches here and there and it was scary but not too bad. The worst...when I lived in Qatar. OMG, the cockroaches were the size of small mice. They would come in through the door, the wiring, the AC. I could not get any sleep at night for fear of them coming in through my AC. I might be crazy but it actually makes me not want to visit that country ever again. That's how bad it was in my mind.

I would not say I am afraid of them. I dislike some and others I have respect for. I just do not want to share my house bed and food with them. I once lived in a cockroach infested house and they are definitely not on my christmas card list. Insects seem to live in their own little world. They seem oblivious to the fact I do not want them around in my house but I tolerate the odd spider because I know they will eat the other bugs. I consider them my allies but I do not like their webs that they make. If I find one I usually throw it outside.

Hello liaamur!!! Seems like the discussion is pretty old. But still I would like to answer this question. Well I am not actually afraid of cockroach. But I just don't like cockroach. I just feel irritated with them. There are lot of cockroach in my house and especially in the summer time, they are just too problematic. While eating too, I see cockroaches running here and there in the kitchen. I don't know why in earth, God didn't give them eyes. Well cockroaches don't have eyes and they just sense with their antennas. So even though I try to scare it away it runs toward me and then when it feels it is too close to me then it run away. It runs away little far and then it again returns. I just feel annoying with this act of cockroaches. There are just allergic to me. Also I am always against of killing anything and that's why I don't kill them too. And now the reason why I am answering this post. I have intentionally search the topic cockroach and have reached this post hehe. Its currently one pm here in Nepal. And in my room since 2 hour I had seen a cockroach which is able to fly too. I have been trying to get it away from the room because with them in the room I cannot sleep with comfort. I have a bad experience regarding this. One night as I was sleeping, I immediately felt something moving over my face. It was a damn cockroach. And that's why I want to get this cockroach right away from the room. Currently I am with a broom and a carpet. I have planning to trap it over a carpet and throw out of the room. But this damn cockroach is very much energetic and runs so fast and every time I try to trap it, it runs either under the bed, or under the cupboard. And currently, it is under this computer table. I am waiting for it to come out from there hehe... I don't know when I will get this cockroach out...Till then I will be mylotting... And you too keep mylotting...

My mom absolutely hates cockroaches. If she sees one, she screams. Lucky one of our cats has a novel but very original way of killing them - by drowning them in her waterbowl. What I really hate is centipedes. I'm not talking about millipedes but centipedes, those ones that more very fast on really yucky hairy legs. Eeeeee!!!!

Hi,liaamur, I am afraid of cockroaches, too. I hate them very much. T think those cockroaches are so ugly and disgusting. Except that, I also fear some other insects. However, I remembe that I am less fear those insects when I was a child. Maybe I was more brave when I was young.
