Ever fall asleep with your contacts in?

I hate when this happens. Since I have been pregnant, and therefore more tired, I find myself taking naps almost everyday. The problem is I always have my contacts in...I wake up with red dry eyes.
I don't have any glasses right now, so I am always wearing my contacts. Once I get sleepy, I am to lazy to get up, get the case, and take them out right before falling asleep. It kills the mood lol.
When I lived in the US, I was buying those Acuvue Advanced Hydraclear lenses, they were the best...you could sleep for hours and they would not dry out. They have them in Egypt...but cost freaking $15 a pair (one pair last 2 weeks). I go with the Egyptian lenses that cost $15 and last for 3 months.
I know I just need to suck it up until I get some glasses. I am also happy I am lucky enough to have time to take a nap everyday.
Does this happen to anyone else?

I do this ocassionally and it does dry out the eyes...My friend use to sleep with her contacts in all the time. Needless to say it wasn't good for her eyes and she had to stop wearing contacts for several months because it scratched her eyes.

Yeah I think taking a short nap here and there is fine, it can just be drying. But to constantly sleep in them, especially all night is not a good idea. Kind of scary that it can actually "scratch" your eyes. I wish I could afford Lasik.

yeah has happened to me, but most of the time I can sleep with my contacts no problem. They only start to dry out if I go like a week with them in. I wore glasses the past two years to try to save money. not worth it. Contacts are way better than glasses.
