Will you promote a site that you haven't been paid from?

Will you promote a site that you haven't personally been paid from? What's your justification for this? I like to test sites out & receive payment before advocating others to join them. I think it's better that way, because then you know for sure that you're not promoting some scam site that doesn't pay. Although, sometimes getting referrals is the only way you can actually reach the minimum payout, in which case, it's hard to test the legitimacy of the site before referring others. What do you think? Will you refer others to a program where you yourself haven't been paid yet from? If so, what's your justification? Do you think this is cheating the referral in some way?

Hi maezee. No, I would not promote and refer a site to others before I really can prove it is legit and do pay. If You have not been paid self yet, you do not know, and therefore, you can not make any promises to others about their legit and payment proof. But as soon as I have been paid, I put that on my website and let others know about it. Then I can say yes at least they have paid me.

Hi maezee, Great topic. Hmm...for me, it's a bit of a mixture. If I come across a site that seems interesting to me, I'll join it and write about it in as much detail as I can. If I have reservations about it, I'll share that too and write further reviews on it (if need be) as I increase my use of that particular site. Sometimes, I'll wait to receive payment from it before putting in a referral link and sometimes I won't. The latter doesn't happen that often, but on the occasions I've put in a referral link before getting paid by the site, I've usually put in what I like and don't like about the site (even if I'm new to it), so the reader has more of a balanced view. I also sometimes put in 2 links to the site - one with the referral and one without so the reader has an option.

That's a great idea. The internet needs more genuine people like you. I try to do that, too, when I'm introducing someone new to a get-paid-to site. It's only fair that they hear both sides of the story rather than just hear some spammy-line, like "JOIN NOW TO MAKE $$$$$$ FOR FREE & FAST!!!!" or something like that. Lol. [Em]happy[/em] Thanks for responding! Good to know there are still honest people out there!

No, I would never promote a site where I haven't been paid from. No matter what the circumstance is. And I wouldn't want anyone to promote a site like that to me.

Not really, unless I know the owners and then I'd do it for them. otherwise, why waste my time? Sometimes I feel selfish about it. But it is also practical. If the site or product is really good then I'll rave about it in my blog or something like that. But I wouldn't force people to go visit the site.

True, but don't you think you'd get MORE referrals if you'd post payment proof? People usually like proof that a site is legit, no? Thanks for responding, BTW!

yes definitely i will promote that site more than i will promote sites that actually promote...but i will promote it a negative way..so that no one joins that site...and stay away from it because such sites are a nuisance to all the people

If if the sites ends up being scam, then yes, it is good to point it out so that others don't fall into the same trap...

Well i will only promote a site which i confirm is paying, i maybe not paid yet, but others which i know of already been paid. What me and my friends does is, will try other sites which can earn and been paid, then we will start to promote to others. For example, mylot.com

I always look for sites that have the lowest minimum payout as I have to first test whether it is really paying or not. I have come across many sites which does not pay or some problem arises when about to reach payout. So, i don't refer friends untill and unless i am sure that the site actually pays. Happy earnings to you maezee.

Hi maezee, Why not? I normally will promote any I personally take an interest in and am/will be participating. If there is something that I can provide a proof of payment, I will provide it. If there is nothing, then there is nothing. I don't cheat people and I answer any question frankly. If people ask me whether I have been paid, then I will answer truthfully. For anyone who is participating, unless one is very new to this business, there is a certain amount of knowledge that you must have accumulated - for instance, you should know that not all sites end up really paying and may in fact fold up not long after you sign up. Internet business is a far riskier one than brick and mortar one, if not at least for the relatively minimal amount of effort required to set it up. So, have a care what you are signing up for. PS.: If it makes you feel more comfortable, just have a disclaimer with the sites you are promoting that you have not personally been paid by those sites before. That should clear things up... and you won't feel guilty anymore.

You make a really good point; just because a site pays you once doesn't mean it will happen again. I'm glad to hear the other side of the story. Thanks!

No, I will only promote sites that I really like and no that you get paid. I dont want someone else to waste their time. Sometimes these sites can be very time consuming and I dont want anyone mad at me.

I did. Generally, before I join any site I would look for more information from the existing members. Not just from one member, but from many members. By the time I join, the site would have made a considerable reach. Then I start promoting it, confidently. Just getting paid will not justify promoting a scam. Similarly, just haven't receive payouts personally should not be a reason for not promoting an obvious reliable site. I promoted Linkgrand.com, Wordlinx.com and Matrixmails.com before I got paid. Later I've been paid promptly by them. When a site is in business for over years, why shouldn't we start promoting it, without waiting for payout?

Well, with all of the scams on the internet, sometimes it's hard to tell if sites are actually legit and actually pay. Sometimes the site will have a forum section totally devoted to members posting payment proofs, in which case I can understand why getting your own payment proof might not be necessary. But I like to use it as a safety precaution, a "just in case" thing, because I know that if I would like the same to be done for me.

Well if there are payment proofs on it's forums, I will definitely endorse or promote it while waiting to reach my payout. That's what I've done at neobux and that helps me reach my first payout.. I've done it on some other sites as well but I'll be honest to say that there are some sites I promoted that turned into a scam..

I have never done that. I haven't promoted any site even though I have got paid lol. I have to start doing that. First I need to make a blog soon and then I shall start promoting the ones that work for me. I think the ones that do promote the sites should do verifications on the site and check for reviews in reputed sites before recommending the sites to others. I don't think anyone would promote a scam site knowing that it is a scam site unless he owns it himself.

I usually seek out reviews before joining a site that is supposed to pay its members for doing anything. Payment proofs are also a plus. I am usually a very thorough researcher, and therefore may promote the site if I haven't seen any bad reviews of it. Most of the sites I promote, however, are those that have paid me, and many of them have paid me at least twice. As for referrals, I am not one to wrack up referrals anyway. The most I have ever gotten from any site is two referrals, so luckily this cheating them out of money by sending them to a site that isn't legitimate isn't something I have had to worry about as of yet.

hi maezee, I think that is very sound reasoning. we can recommend only after we are sure about something !I too would never recommend a site that i am not comfortable with. And ecen if i mention a site at random, i generally tell about my experience with the site - good or bad, so that they can make whatever decision they want

No never. i don't promote any sites which haven't paid me. Until it pays me i prefer not to refer anybody as it can be scam and also its not fair.

no,i do not promote any site till it pays me at least one time ,i agree that due to my this behavior i earned slow but it gives very relief to me.and some trust on net will be established when all users take the right steps,if everyone which is not paid can promote that site then scams will take advantages and conversations between net users are of no use so plz. correct your habit i requested you.thanks

I won't recommend an earning site if i don't receive payment from them. You can try, if you are interested the following good and genuine pay sites for answering questions. ammas.com & mahalo.com. good luck.

i wont promote a site if i haven't been paid yet..it's too stupid to do such thing and of course i don't want to be blame in the long run..if i am going to promote something then i will make sure that i have evidences or proofs to back me up...so that it would be worth of my time to convince people..
