Anyone got lasik surgery done?

I have been thinking of lasik surgery done. Has anyone done such thing? I have been wondering if it is quite safe, and if there will be any negative effect later on.

I haven't gotten lasik surgery but one of my brothers had it a couple of years ago. He has problems with his eyes being dry all of the time. Please do some research before you have this surgery done. Please.

Thanks. But I heard doctors say that dryness will continue for sometime. Has he this dryness problem even now? I think it should not last for a long time. Anyway, thanks for commenting.

He had the surgery years ago and yes he still has the dryness problem. I think if he had the chance to go back, he would elect not to have the surgery.

oh like that. Sorry for him. I had cryogenic therapy few years back, and my eyes were dry for some six months. But later they became alright. Since I wear thick glasses, I have to go for cryogenic therapy from time to time. So I have been thinking of going for surgery once and for all. But if there are complications then I would hesitate. Thanks.
