Is your cell phone more than a phone?

My cell phone is just a phone - it just makes and takes phone calls. But my husband just got a new one which has a camera, music, weather, and a whole bunch of different features. There is nothing wrong with my phone but every one in awhile I get the feeling that I would like to have more capabilities with the phone...
So what do you think? Do you have lots of capabilitites with your phone? Do you love it that way? Or are you just like me and have the phone be just a plain phone...

I've seen the touchscreens on the phones - they are really great! Maybe I should get an upgrade - you have so many features...

To me my cell phone can be my calculator, my calendar, my clock, my digital camera, it is the place where I have all my contacts, I text and call too.
So I guess I am not like you, plus I love texting very much, it is cheaper and I got for the unlimitated even in prepaid, it is much cheaper than making calls.

I need a phone that is going to make and take phone calls when i need it to. But my phone does that, plus plays music, plus has a camera, plus can connect to the internet. I never use 90% of the features my phone has. I talk and I text with it. That's all.
My husband has a storm and it is like another appendage for him. But he needs something like that for his job so it's great for him. It would be too much of a headache for me.

Thanks so much for the response! I see we're alike in cell usage. I've never heard of a storm but it sounds like a cool phone! My husband too uses his cell for work more than anything else so he needs all the bells and whistles.

my cell cannot be called even as phone lol..its nokia supernova my dad gifted me on my birthday. but hardly anyone calls me rather than my mom as she stays far away, friends never call as we always meet in college. and then rest of the time i hardly use my phone. there are basic factors like camera, blootooth, connectivity but i use a broadband nt phone network..so my phone is a normal phone not much to it. but it has a sweet colour light pink with carvings on the cover, plus the theme is pink mickey and mini on it.. it really looks awesome

That sounds like an amazing phone! Mine is just plain black - maybe my next one should be themed like yours... Thanks for sharing!

I think that depends on everything form who is your phone. PErhaps you need only a simple hpne call and not so many features you need for nothing, compared to that perhaps your husband loves technology and is more passionate and the usa the camera, music etc...I have a cell phone and enough technology for business usa much like file folders, internet acess and the like.

You're absolutely right - and it's funny. My husband was trying to patch his phone with electrical tape. It was really time to get a new one. I was the one who suggested that he get the phone he currently has and he loves it! He is definitely more into technology than I am and that's fine by me. The less bells and whistles I have the less I can break. Thanks for the response!

i think a phone is just a tools, my phone has many features ,camera, music, weather and so on , but i think it's weaste, a phone just can be talk with others ,it's enough. the more the features are ,the fast your phone work badly!!!

I really can't complain about the phone since it still works. If it were broken or malfunctioning in any way I would be looking right now. All of the features do sound fantastic but will I use them? I don't know. Thanks for the response.
