Do you feel secure in your job?

Does anyone out there still feel secure in their job? In their financial well being? I think that my job is secure but what if it isn't? The job market is so competitive these days it's difficult to say that I'll find something if let go. We'd like to move into a bigger home and hopefully have a bigger family one day but fear of losing my job is holding us back. What do you think? Are you holding off doing something because you're unsure of your job future? I welcome any and all comments...

If you're a student someone must be taking care of you in some form which is nice. It was much nicer when my parents had to worry about taking care of the house and providing for everyone. Now I'm the parent and I have to worry each day. But I just take one day at a time and hope for the best. Thanks for the response and good luck in school!

I feel secure in my job because how I earn is up to me. I'm a freelance writer. The bad thing about being self-employed is that if you give yourself a day off (I don't often do that, as writing also helps keep me sane and if I'm going to write I might as well earn money for my efforts) you get no money.

That's great that you're independent and secure. Many of us are not as independent and don't enjoy the roller coaster ride when it comes to employment. Good luck to you and thanks for the response!

Thanks for the response - I certainly don't feel secure and nothing has been said or done - I just have this feeling...
