Spring will soon be here - Are you counting the days?

As I write this I realize that Spring can mean different things to different people, depending on where you live. Those of you who never see snow wouldn't think of it in the same sense as those who have had to travel in it for the past three months. Spring officially begins on Friday, March the 20th and although I know we will probably see some cold weather for a little longer, the idea that it will be Spring puts a big smile on my face. How do you feel about the coming of Spring?

Spring is refreshing and keeps my heart young. I look forward to fall too but in a different way.
Spring is renewal to me. It's a time to see things grow. I'm planning the gardens to my new home as we type. I call the new flowers my babies and make the kids giggle. See? We do the gardens as a family.
I love the sun as it warms the mornings and lights the afternoons. To be able to shed the heavy coat and feel the breeze's chill and at the same turn my face up to the sun and it's heat. What a feeling!
So yeah, I'm looking forward to it a bit.

Yes! I can't wait for spring. We just a got a taste of the weather for the past couple days and now we are back to the dreary cold of winter. Yuck! So yes, I can't wait for the days where I can open my windows at home and enjoy the sounds of nature!

I'm not counting the days but I'm really looking forward to this time of year! I'm sick of the cold and I just want it to warm up so that I can get out there on my bike and do some serious cycling! I really like that feeling, when the weather is warm and the sun is shining, I wear shorts and a t-shirt and it's pure bliss when on the bike! Along with Spring comes freedom! Andrew

I CANNOT wait for spring to hurry up and get here. It was -37 here this morning. -37! March is certainly coming in like a lion so I hope it goes out like a lamb. It has been such a long winter I just can't wait to see some green grass and sit in the sun with a book and a cold drink.

If winter is there can Spring be far behind? Yes, winter her means the youth the beginning of life and th signs are already there. We habe the greatest festival of Bihu during this season and this would be followed by summer - the fullness of life.

Hi krajibg, Thank you for responding. I love Spring, it speaks to me of hope of new life and new beginnings. When I was young I loved winter and winter sports but now it keeps me shut in a lot of the time, also after a snowstorm I have to shovel my driveway. Good exercise I agree but I'll do more walking when all the snow is gone and it's no longer slippery. What happens at your festival of Bihu? Blessings.

i am definately counting down the days until spring!! i am from pa, and the weather here has been so freaking crazy. one day it's 30, and the next day it's almost 60, and then back to 30, its snowing, its sunny, its windy, its rainy.... it can't make up it's mind what it wants to do. now granted i like the fact of having nice weather and not too much snow at one time, but im just ready for the cold to be completely gone, and the low being like 50, i can handle that. sooner or later it will be good weather, and we can actually get outside more and do stuff as a family.

Counting down the days? GODDESS bless it, of course I am!
I've had cabin fever for the last two months off and on. I've missed the warm blazing sun and the fresh air. I can't wait, I can't wait.
First'll come spring cleaning, which means opening all the windows and doors...then comes spring planting, the hard back-breaking work of working with the earth to ensure the new farm thrives...
...and yes, I'm looking forward to every minute of it. Spring means the start of my really, really busy year. The true beginning of hard work. But I want it NOW xD i don't care that it means more stress, me being tired more. Now, now, now! LMAO.
I'm being patient, that's just me being honest. xD

I love springs ,and I'm also counting the days ,and it makes
very happy to see so many robins singing outside my house
every morning. Wow the lillies are coming out and soon the
trees are going to be full of leaves. You can actually feel
the presence of the Lord.

In Trinidad, where I am, there's no winter, but around this time the weather gets perceptably hotter and there's more dust and hot sun everyday.
I have to travel around Port of Spain and the port all day doing my work since I'm in shipping and these hot sweaty days are the worst.
You go home in the evening caked with sweat and dust and the sun literally burns your skin.
The cool months in Trinidad are in November and December after that you're back into sweat and heat.

I am so thankful that it is so close to being here.. We did however, have a 70 degree day today and it was beautiful.. I am not going to say that it was hot, I will save the complaining for later in the summer when it gets hot enough for us to complain about it.. It was beautiful and I enjoyed the day so very much.. I can't wait for the cold to be entirely gone and spring to be here for awhile..

Man may wait until March 20th for official Spring, but around here it started in early February. The swallows were here yesterday, so that mean there are enough
insects to make it worth their while. The fields are getting green and all the babies are being born in the animal world.

I cannot wait for Spring. It's been so nice here, it's been like nice warm spring days and I'm hoping it stays that way. I love being able to go outside and walk around without a jacket in semi warm weather that is sunny and not cloudy and snowing. I'm ready for Spring and then definitely ready for summer. I'd love to have the warm, relaxing weather again!

Hi Pose123! We really don't have the four seasons here in our country and what we have is the wet and dry season. However, I have seen spring in other countries and it is indeed a beautiful sight to behold when all the plants and flowers are all in bloom.
Take care and have a great day!

Pose-
Being Pagan I just love the Ostara and welcome of Spring. My husband and I share our anniversary on March 23rd and it is a blessed time. We have a bit of cold weather coming in this week, but I am hoping that things will warm just a bit for the Ostara as we welcome in the Oak King. Many blessings-Anora
