Hi kiran8, my husband doesn't have any interest to read online latest new though he has 3G iphone. He still likes to get the traditional newspaper from the vendor every morning. He enjoys reading paper after having breakfast. It seems that you really enjoy reading newspaper and sipping tea on your sofa comfortably

Just like what you say, I also seldom buy newspaper or book to read. Since l online everyday, l can read all kinds of news from internet. lt saves my time being wasted for flipping over newspapers. Only on special occasion, then l still buy newspaper or book to read, like when l go on travelling.

Wow, those are a lot of news papers! Do you read them all? I personally rather hear/see the news on tv. And not even every day, as it tends to be so awful to hear. That does not cheer me up. Just know I heard of a 8 year old being murdered by an 18 year old. These things don't help me feel good. Anyway, reading a book on the internet? Maybe an e-book. But I much rather read a book. It is easier on my eyes and I can take it with me easier. Some how I love books, and the internet cannot take its place. Take care.

Haha, of course not! I don't have so much time to read of of them! If I really read all the newspapers, anyway, I guess I will be very knowledgable!

Thats sounds so reasonable! If you know more, you will worry more! Haha There is a saying in my hometown! An ignorant woman is a joy forever. But, um, if you are a boy! You'd better be sort of knowledgable

I read the national and larger newspapers online from time to time and I also get my news from other sources. For local news down here in rural south central Florida, you have to buy one of the two weekly newspapers. They're a lot of fun to read because they're full of just local stuff and many time one of my grandkids or another family member is in there.

Your family member is in there? That's so cool! If my relations were there, I would also buy the newspaper

I still like to buy books so I can get comfortable reading anywhere I like. Plus, staring at the computer for long periods of time, gives me a head-ache.

Hi hiddenwing, I get daily local and global latest news reading the online newspaper everyday. Yeah, they are free online. It's fast and handy. We can learn any important event more clearly by watching the online video news as well. I buy newspapers only when going on vacation for I can't watch online news without my laptop. Thanks for sharing so many free online links for watching news.

Got yourself a few links there hiddenwing! I much prefer to read an actual newspaper or book than use the internet for reading purposes, but I have little choice unfortunately. Access to an English newspaper is not easy for me here in Cairo, so if it weren't for online sources, I wouldn't be up to date with world affairs at all. I've never enjoyed having to read online though.

True, the amount of information available online is endless, but the online newspapers will never replace the real thing. There is just something about sitting down with a coffee and the paper on a weekend morning. I also still buy books, and many of them. I find that the internet is perfect for those who cannot live without an electronic device, but for those of us who still enjoy some old fashioned things, reading a book and holding it in your hands is a much better experience. I guess it all depends on the individual and what kind of free time they have. Some would rather read a book online when they check on their email and do other things with their hands when not logged on. I myself could live very well without the computer, not to mention cell phones, video games and tvs!!

I would love to get it easy, nut there are a lot of disdvantages there, I like to read comfortably, I don't like to sit on a chair instead of lying on a bed and reading, and I definatly wouldn't want to go through that hassle.. Although I never really thought of reading online, I look forward to books still Happy-Mylotting

I do get alot of my news and information online. But there is one thing that keeps me from being totally convinced that this is the only connection I need, and that's the fact that I don't want to lug a computer with me everywhere. Yes, computers are getting smallers and more lightweight, but not so yet. Also, i dont' like trying to navigate on my phone. I will use it to look at a coupld things, but not to just sit there and read. I enjoy holding a book in my hands and flipping from page to page. When reading a newpaper, I like to be able to flip and scan and glace at the photos. Plus, it's really hard for me to work the crossword puzzle online.

Nope, I never buy a newspaper anymore since I have internet connection in my room :D. I like to update the news especially from my county, because a month from now is the election. I also search some MSN news and read it slightly. I think, internet make the user easier to find what news that we want, effective and efficient.

First and foremost, Thank you very much for providing so many websites here. I will try some of them later. Second, to tell the truth, I never buy newspaper for news reading if network connection is available when I am at home or not far away from home. It is very convenient to read news on the net and I don't have much time to read the newspapter in details. I enjoy reading on the net because it is quicker to finish. I only scan the important news which gets my attention or interests me. But when I am waiting for the bus to come at the bus station and feel bored or tired, I may consider to buy one piece of newspaper to read.

Wow that's a whole lot of reading sites... I can almost read any information I'd look for on the computer... but to give my eyes some low intensity reading I'd look for books and newspapers sometimes... even so I still need to use the computer for reference... and other research... by the way thanks for the sites...

i would definitely prefer reading online. becoz it is much more better and convienent. sometimes some papers do not cover up the entire fact.so it becomes easirer to refer other paper. online is a better source. but i can assure you that even if we are in the 21st century , the traditional method of papers will definitely continue.

I absolutely need books. I think that there is something almost sensual about the feel and smell of a new book. I love the physical body of the book and the feel of the paper in my hands, with it's stories and information trapped for any inquiring mind.

I used to buy newspapers a couple of years before.. Now that am outside home, I don't get newspapers anymore.. I miss reading news paper! Definitely it was a better way to learn about the current happenings than reading online.. It was more satisfying.. I can't explain why though!
