Hello, I am new to mylot and would like to contribute to medical science by spreading the word about folding@home. This is by no means a new idea, but alot of people have never heard of it, or know what it is.. The folding client which can be downloaded from the folding@home website uses your CPU or gpu power to "fold" proteins and send results to stanford school of medicine. The whole process is helpfull in our fight against uncurable diseases such as; cancer, parkinsons, als, and more.
The project also allows donors to register teams and compete for the most proteins folded. If there is enough interest in this, why not start a mylot folding@home team..
of course the application and team registeration is free as it is a none profit organisation.

In the download section of the folding@home webpage download the client best suited to your pc. To create a team look in the "stats" section of the web page. I am currently folding for team 'steampowered', But will fold a few work units under the mylot team.
To get used to the process you can simply just download it and run it to see how it works, if you think its some thing your interested in, I say lets go for it.
