I love fresh flowers and love to pick them and bring them inside to put in a vase on my dining room table or kitchen island. I have camelias blooming right now and they are simply gorgeous! I'm attaching a picture here for all to see. They are apretty pinkish red color. The wedding bells have just started to bloom but they will be hard to pick because they are so tiny but maybe I can get a small nosegay out of them! We will try next weekend. My question to you is do you have flowers growing in your yard that you often pick to bring inside for your dining room table or to brighten up another room? And if so, what kind of flowers do you have?

Did you forget to attach the picture of your Camellias? I love to bring flowers in too. Right now nothing is in bloom, it will be several months yet. The first will be lilacs, then mock orange blossoms, and then roses. I plan on growing a lot of flowers this year, so hopefully a lot more will get cut. I love the smell of fresh cut flowers.
Going to plant herbs too, they will leave a nice fragrance as well.

I love fresh flowers, the smell of them, but I always feel it's a great shame to pick them from the garden, unless they are bountiful outside, because they look so much nicer in the garden giving it colour. So we tend to buy flowers from the stalls, carnations are my mums favourite, I love wall flowers but you can't pick those so I admire them in my garden, they lasted and were still in flower all through the cold winter and the snow! Carnations last a long time. The daffodils are coming up at the moment, and the snowdrops too.

We have daffodils and jonquils blooming here. There are lots of them along the roadside and fields out in the country. I love my drive into the city now. It's really beautiful with all the flowers blooming and of course we see deer just about every day! Gotta love the country!!

We have some wonderful perennial gardens. I try not to bring the blooms inside though. I prefer to view them outside. But, I do purchase fresh flowers from Aldi and bring them home to adorn our table. They are lovely and really reasonably priced.

I would love to have fresh flowers in here but my cats have a habit of eating them. If I get any, I have to put them in a room that the cats can't get into. Then I don't get to enjoy them that much. I haven't done so well growing any flowers but there are some flowers out back that I have picked and brought inside. I'm just not sure what they are called. My boyfriend bought me a whole bunch of flowers and bushes last year towards the end of the season, so I hope to have some beautiful flowers this year.

Can't afford fresh flowers. I am on a low income. I don't even have a flower garden of my own to pick from.
Those camelia's are very pretty. Thanks for posting the pic.

I like fresh flowers but only if they tend to live long in a vase :) B/c I tend to kill things like Roses! But thinks like simpler cheaper flowers work better.
I have never picked flowers mostly b/c I don't have flowers in my yard that are made to be picked and anywhere else I go we aren't allowed to pick. But whether they are inside or outside I take as many pics of pretty flowers as I can. I just love them!!

I agree with you on buying the simpler and cheaper flowers for indoors. Any flowers that add color and smell fresh are nice to have indoors in my opinion! You are going to have to plant something that will flower so you can go out and snip a few buds every now and then! Have a great day!

Hi.
I love flowers.
I have a few yellow rose herbs in my yard and I don't know much about them else then that they give beautiful yellow roses twice each year.
I usually let them blossom on the plants and then fade by them self.

I don't have a garden... and buying fresh flowers everyday can be quite expensive... so i have never had one in my apartment... but when we were younger... my sisters and i would sometimes get fresh roses from suitors... so we put that in a vase and place it on top of the table... and that would make the whole house look very nice...

I don't have any fresh flower in the house because they are rather expensive and I like them in a pot indeed. However, with the limited space we live in, it's really hard to have any plants in.

I used to buy fresh flowers for my wife to sell. I would do this every Saturday and ship them to her so she gets them on Sunday. I like fresh flowers too. Too bad the business has stopped. Cheers!!

I love fresh flowers. Typically I get roses. But I also love tigerlillys when they are available. It's just nice to have something from outside inside. Last summer at the Farmer's Market we got lovely bouquets of wildflowers that lasted for much longer then store bought. It was really nice!!

I am very fond of keeping fresh flowers on my dining table but do not have the place to grow flowers. So I buy fresh flowers whenever I can. And since the main market for fresh flowers is near my office I get the chance to go and buy a variety of flowers many of which I dont even know the names.

I do have a few and I love to pick my roses and display them in a vase on the dining room table.. I also love to have a big bouquet in the bedroom on a dresser or a table, I love the aroma of fresh cut roses.. It sure does brighten up a room and makes it smell so much better when you have fresh flowers all about.. I need to plant more roses so I can get more fresh cut bouquets for my house.. Have a great day..

Hi there DonnaLawson! You are so right, the fresh smell of flowers really freshens the air in any room and brightens it with vivid colors! I probably should consider planting some roses. I need to take it slow though, my hubby loves to cut things down!
