My daughter is 15months old and is getting in a bunch of teeth. She already has three, two on bottom, and one on top. She has been extremely fussy, and having troubles sleeping. She was actually really sick last night. I have been giving her baby tylonel, and teething tablets, but nothing seems to be helping. I've even given her popsicles to try and ease the pain a bit. Does anyone have any ideas on teething solutions? Any home remedies on teething, or soothing their pain? thanks for the help.

I used to take a wash cloth and soak it in water and throw it in the freezer and freeze it. Then when its really bad I would take it out and give it to my daughter to chew on. That always seemed to help. I also always had a tube of baby orajel around for the days that it was just unbearable. Its one of those things that no matter what you do it just dont seem to work or make them feel any better. I can so remember being up till all hours with a poor little girl that her mouth hurt so bad and she was so fussy with so much drool. I would sit and rub her gums for her and sometimes that would help as well. I hope that she gets through it soon cause I know that when the baby aint happy no one is happy.

That is what I was going to put is the washcloth. My children loved it. Especially when it is frozen. The orajel never seemed to do that much for them. They would still cry even after it had been in the mouth. I can only imagine what kind of pain that it is for a baby. I know when my wisdom teeth come in that they hurt bad. And I am an adult.

There is a line of herbal formulas for kids that I used years ago. You will have to read through the information from the web site and contact them with your question. As always check with your doctor before using anything on a child.
The website for the herbal formulas for kids is www.drchristophersherbshop.com/Herbs_for_Children.html
The website for contacting someone at the herb shop is:
www.drchristophersherbshop.com/Contact_Us.html
If you call the toll free number, you may have to try a few times to get through as it is also a regular store serving customers.

Hi, If that's her in the photo ,she is a cutie ! I thought the wet wash cloth
from the freezer worked well on mine also . You can also wrap a piece of ice
in a wash cloth , same thing . Good luck Mom!

When my kids were teething, I used Baby Orajel. It seemed like this helped them out, once it sunk into their system. The only hassle you'll have is getting your finger in their mouth. They'll be in such pain that they don't want you anywhere near their teeth. You just gotta persaveer.

There are going to be many people that will disapprove of my remedy but it really does work. You can use rye. Just put a little bit on your finger and rub it on her gums. It really does work by numbing the gums. I had a child that got no relief from anything but that. But just a little bit at a time.

Let her knaw on a carrot. It is hard, and cool, so it would be soothing too.
