How do you clean your coffee pot, the electric one? Mine gets so full of clogs from the minerals in the water that we have to use something very strong to clean it. It take several hours of pouring the stuff through over and over again. I always bring a book. Do you have any special way of doing this?

Must be some serious deposits. Use straight vinegar. I have never heard of anything else that works.

I agree with the previous response. I put about a 1/2 cup of vineger, it's acidic,in the pot fill it with water and run it thru the cycle without a filter. That usually does it! About once a month. It doesn't get it sparkly clean but it breaks up the mineral deposits and keeps it running thru smooth! tdemex

Hi, Pat!
I make a normal pot of coffee, but not in a normal way. The water is mixed with white vinegar, about 1-to-1. After it's gone through, I run a pot of plain water through to get rid of any vinegary taste or smell. It does wonders!

Hi savypat:
I clean mine by running water and vinegar through the brewing cycle. You can do it as many times as you need.

Vinegar will disolve the mineral deposits. What is it that you are using?
